Instead, we've done measurements using acoustic transducers built into the clarinet mouthpiece, so we could measure the acoustic response of the vocal tract while clarinettists played. Yes, it is indeed fascinating to see the tongue, the pharynx, and the voice box interact. However, the cumulative radiation dosage is inacceptable. But, well, these are very old films from times nowbody knew (or cared) about long-term effects of radiation exposure.
