  • I just want to thank you Bob Brown and your Green party colleagues for putting out this video. Ive inserted it into myspace bullitens and spread it to many of my friends. I think people respect your genuine effort to be straight with the Aus public about how voting really works and not just saying for for mee! You've got my #1 (with Labor 2nd with preferences of course :))

  • To start filtering the laws of the Howard Government at this point in time is just not action enough. A lot of the laws this government has made need to be reversed.

It is not good enough to say we are traveling to fast so lets not go any faster. I say lets slow down.

  • Anyone who makes a claim starting with "I heard that..." is hard to take seriously.

In fact, under the plan, the Government would pay for installation up front and reduce your power bills! Repayments would be less than the amount saved so no-one is out of pocket.

In the long run the lower power bills will result in significant household savings and a significant net economic (and environmental) benefit for the country.

    It's a no brainer!

  • I desperately hope that the Greens hold the balance of power. I couldn't stand another 4 years like the last 4. The arrogance of the Howard Govt is reflected in the mountains of legislation it pushed through most of which was Corporate friendly or an attack on individual freedom.

Good Luck Greens, be nice too if the media acknowledged that there was more than 2 parties this election.

  • "Gotta feel sorry for the...recreational fishermen and hunters"?

What about the defenceless animals they kill?

  • What scares me most is that the Greens won't hold the balance of power, couldn't stand the last 4 years again.

Be nice if the media aknowledged that the were other parties apart from Labour & Liberal.

    Good Luck

  • If you would like to read the actual energy efficiency policies yosie450 is distroting, please have a look at the EASI policy on our website or greensblog.

  • thats typical when your policy's are explained people are either "distroting" distorting the truth or running a smear campaign. Isn't that exactly what you do with with forestry???

We have our grey water from our community run strait into the Tamar yet we are clean and green !!

is it true that you will put another tax on 4wd's

what about recreational hunting?? banned or not? lots of other issues but lets see you answers on these first.

  • yosie, read the policies before you attack them. You never know, you might actually be surprised by what you find.

  • Although I know I don't have to vote for the Greens if I don't want to - but I'm now no longer worried that a vote for a minor party isn't a wasted vote. My mum always told me not to bother because it wouldn't count! Thank you for the lesson OzG.

  • I would say to Joe to Vote for any of the OTHER minor parties in the senate to hold the balance of power,

The greens are radical left wing Extremists

and it scares me more that the Greens may hold the balance of power in the senate, than the Coalition having control of the Senate

And let me tell you that must be Scary !!!

  • I get it steven2690 you use the word extremist because it rhymes with Green. Nice one. That means you don't have to say what is actually wrong. Or mention for instance how extreme the major parties are for not wanting to do anything about climate change because they want to protect their fossil fuel industry mates.

  • steven2690, don't be scared mate! the greens are the best thing in the parliament. Best for you and me. It scares me that people are worried about the "extreme left wing" ideas the greens have. their ideas are obviosly about 50 times more fair and sensible than the rediculous ideas and policies that the 2 major parties have.

  • Propaganda designed to make you vote a certain way in the guise of a Community Education campaign. Nice, very... Howard like.

  • You've obviously never talked to a confused voter at a polling booth...

  • And yet I have distributed information cards to 1000's of people over the years. Not one confused voter... imagine that. Hopefully thanks to this invaluable service the Greens are providing, all those confused voters in other States and Territories will now have someone to vote for :)

  • Not looking perhaps? I see you also missed memella's comment on this thread, posted just 2 hours before yours.
