In 1999 When I was on board the Queen of the North,I remember a map on the wall that had ships that sunk in the Pacific North West all the way back to the 1700's, Would have never thought she is now on that map, said
I just posted 5 video's from the Queen of the North trip from Aug 1999
thank-you to the previous comment, ..no there not on board...just payroll...they should be in jail...this is no accident...this is murder...when you are in charge of mass transport maybe one should pay attention, at the very least not be engaged in other distractions! I don't understand how and why they are getting away with this...it makes NO sense...if this would of happened the sailing before, it would not of just been murder, but mass murder...they need to come clean. my heart to the family
So the same crew that brought the Q.O.N. down are on this vessel too ? Well I guess they`re all back to growing their pot plants and having sex orgies all while getting paid. Sounds like a great place to work, and kill passengers then run and hide under the skirt of their union ! ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ! Karl Lilgert and Karen Bricker !
well said. RIP Queen of the North. whats really wierd is that my good friend bought Gerald and Shellys house in 108 mile house after it went on the market after their deaths. It was very strange being in their house. If you watch my 1973 Camaro video I have you will see their house in 108 mile house. That captain said some fine words.
So I guess they never did figure out how the two managed to perish when the crew had time to go through the boat knocking on doors, never mind the announcements and alarms, huh? I almost expected them to show up in Mexico or somewhere a year later, having faked their deaths, it was just so improbable. What a mystery!
Its safe to bet that they are down under now. What a horrible death. That Hecate Strait is unforgiving at best. One fuck-up, you're dead, simple as that.
Hecate Strait is unforgiving at best, however this occured in next to calm seas in the sheltered waters south of Prince Rupert. The ship hit Gil Island because a course change was not made. Many theories persist to this day, only fueled by the fact that the Transport Canada investigation was inconclusive, all the way from a romantic relationship between two bridge crew members to the previous refit months earlier leaving the ship with a navigation screen that was shut off to reduce glare.

The best we can figure is that the two got stuck in the elevator, though there was atleast one anecdotal account in an interview at Hartley Bay of seeing them ashore after the sinking but that seems most improbable.

LOL I relised it was a ferry after I posted that LOL..But why does it have cabins? either way very ugly interior.
emersiveav 4 years ago
It may be homely, but it's a very long, multi-stop trip up & down the BC coast, and those cabins must look pretty good at bedtime!
