Some people may not be familiar with this "magic" of the jet engine. This may be mesmerizing to those people. I have flown in a Lufthansa A-340-600 and Boeing 747-400 over the Atlantic probably over a million times but i find it still somewhat amazing.

Well, an engine's noise may not impress me the most, but seeing an huge plane taking off a runway impresses me mainly because it goes to show that we've come from trying to imitate birds to thrusting giant pieces of metal into the sky. Another thing that amazes me is when I was on a flight from Houston to Frankfurt and I was right over New York with almost 100% visibility at night. The sight was breathtaking and I'm sure everyone, young or old would be stunned by the beauty of it.

Hi guys that is right the runway is very short for B747-400 it is only 3895 feet long in stead of 6000 feet which is the minimum runway length for B747-400 try to make videos more realistic, in order to prove that you are really good pilot.

r u guys stupid, he set an extreme head-wind so he didn't needas much runway. If the headwind was set at takeoff speed, it would've been possible for him to takeoff without even moving.

So, how could you explain the IAS increasing during the TO, as shown on PFD? The wind hasn't been set to the TO speed, otherwise the speed tape on PFD would show the wind speed, even with the aircraft stopped. It's clear that plane was almost without any payload :-)

This is correct. However, setting flaps full or 30 degrees can cause damage to the flap. I know, it's happened to me in on a flight from Dulles to Heathrow in a 777. My Co-pilot had accidentally set the flaps to 30 degrees and killed the flaps. The 777 was in repair after that flight.

It's very simple to do, get the 747 on about 60% fuel, with no passengers or cargo, and it will behave like a fighter jet in a larger scale
