@JIMMYLINE Yeah. I remember my dad almost dragging us out cause it took the crew over half an hour to set the cage up. Had to beg and plead not to leave early.
When I was 10 years old, I saw this same match in the old Boston Garden. Before the matches began, my buddies and I hung out by the dressing room to get autographs. When Tony came by, I asked him "What are going to do to Jesse". I a flash, with one arm, he picked me way up over his head and started screaming, "I'm gonna kill him...I'm gonna kill him!". I nearly wet my pants. That's the day I became a die hard fan!
i'm from philly and some of the best times in my life were spent at spectrum cards. WWF wrestling, not wwe. i can remember a texas tornado match between sgt. slaughter & junkyard dog v sheik & volkoff that tore the house down. awesome memories from back in the day. from the civic center for the nwa as well. shame how the house shows suffered for televsion.
I heard the same thing about Tony Atlas ... very nice man; very approachable and friendly, and appreciative. I just looked at a list a few days ago of pro wrestlers that are dead and some of the names whose deaths I had not known about like Mr. Perfect, Earthquake, and Ravishing Rick Rude kind of shocked me. While I used to watch WWF years ago, I have not since 1995 so I had no idea.
Saw the same cag match at the Cap Centre in Maryland.

The biggest shock for me was the beautiful Miss Elizabeth's death.
