    Also there is SDI, ASDI, normal DI. ASDI is split into direct and rotational.

    SDI moves you .6 the width of a standing jiggz. ASDI moves you .3 the width of a standing jiggz.

    I believe trajectory is altered by lowering or raising your angle of launch through SDI and the subsequent frame of ASDI. Thats accomplished by smashing perpendicular to your launch angle during hitstop so that your final placement is lower or higher...ie a different angle.

  • Smash DI: Moves you in the direction you smash the control stick any number of times during hitLAG (ie. the frames your character stands there after being hit, before being sent flying).

    ASDI: Moves you slightly right after hitLAG ends, based on the direction you were holding the C-stick (or control stick, if no C-stick direction) on the last frame of hitlag.

    DI: Everything after ASDI.

  • @mookwak420 SDI, you don't get instant movement from asdi and you can't move directly towards the hurtbox with asdi.

  • @Moxin667 Uhhh... ASDI happens on the first frame of hitlag. Do you know what you're talking about? o_O And you CAN ASDI towards the hit... how do you think people tech the ledge on recoveries?

    Regardless, it IS most likely SDI due to the distance, but still not sure.

  • @mookwak420 ASDI is the input you're holding as you get hit, SDI is the input you press as you get hit. You can move any direction very briefly with sdi, but with asdi it just alters your trajectory.

  • @mookwak420 I have, asdi=autosmash di= the direction you're holding when you get hit. sdi=smash di= the direction you press during hitstun that moves you slightly in that direction.

  • @Moxin667 Yeah, but ASDI moves you a few pixels. The thing that YOU were talking about was just regular ol' DI which affects your trajectory based on what the input of the control stick was before the hit connected.

  • @mookwak420 asdi IS what moves you depending on what you're holding before you get hit. asdi="regular ol' DI". With asdi when you're hit say, right, the closest you can move to the left is pretty much straight up. With smash di when you get hit right you can move left slightly first, during hitstun.

    The only other thing I can think of that you would think was "regular" di is movement after DI matters.

    Also, that "regular di ... movement after DI matters" has no actual real name, but can be referred to as aerial control. That's not DI. DI has to do with being hit.

    Link me the thread that I've already read several times in the past telling me that there are now 3 types of di, and people triple stick di.
