Our boys were right they couldnt tell a civilian from militia Hell i couldn't even tell between a civilian and militia the whole shithole is so fucking tight and narrow,They are all wearing the same clothes holding the same guns and everything else, and some of the somalis got stupid including thier kids and joined in while every last one of them where high as hell on khat,It was a miracle the remaining Rangers got out of there alive.
At tonyrandazzo you left out the USAF 24th special tactics squadron who btw participated in the operation and helped secure one of the crash sites that day but for some reason are left out in the story.
They had SEAL Teams involved in infiltrating the city as well. I recall that one of their snipers hit a pick-up truck gunner with a .50 BMG round, and the militant ended up on one side of the truck, with his gun mount on the opposite. They said it was like a damn shooting gallery, with subjects popping up at every window, and at every turn. I personally know a guy who was in that conflict as well, and it wasn't pretty. Thanks a lot to NSA Berger and other POS bureaucrats who screwed us over.
Thank you to all 75th Ranger 3rd Bn, 160th SOAR, Delta, and 10th Mtn soldiers who risked there lives to bring all our boys home and not leave any behind.
Hopefully my comment will post this time, because I answered it before :D lol. The video has been out for years, but I just never uploaded it. I have another on my site on the 75th page that shows the actual initial fast rope (without sound).
This operation is what made me come to the Army even though i was only 10 when this was going on, but since this i made it my goal to become a soldier and dedicate my life to fighting for my country
