Barbra sang this at her 2nd Sydney concert in 2000. Loved it. She came out in pouring rain and a thunderstorm (they had to sweep the rain from the stage so she didn't slip over) to perform for us in an Akubra, oilskin jacket and a pair of jeans. Simply fantastic. Love you, Barbra.

As someone else commented, Barbra holds on to that rail as she moves around in a very cautious way. That's something that anyone over 55 would understand. You're not always totally sure-footed and the last thing Barbra wants to do is to take a tumble in front of her large audience. And golly gee, maybe holding on to that rail at times can give you an extra bit of confidence.

No! The reason is that she's nearly 70 years old! Vocal cords are muscles and they loose their strengh with age. It's the same for everyone!

@reemka Firstly, the vocal folds are muscular tissue. They are not muscles!! As I said, her sound is due to years of belting. Everyone's instrument is different. Ella sounded AMAZING right up to the end and Patti is starring on Broadway right now and is still belting at the top of her register. We love Barbra still. What a great career!!!

@couturesixfour Yes but watch and listen to Shirley Bassey that is much older and has still a powerful voice. I think Barbra Streisand didn't take care of her voice that much and she said once she didn't take singing lesson. I think that's why her vocal cords are tired. She should have done warm up exercises during her carreer.

Nevertheless she remains her great performer.

I'd say a great example is her timeless tour... her voice was impeccable.... at the top of her game when she was younger none of the other great can even compare to the clarity and the power of her song.... oh! type this on the youtube search: on a clear day timeless... and watch that video.... the whole thing... wow that is amazing!!!

SHINE by her favorite composer HAROLD ARLEN. Great uptempo version. She looked
