So if I use the Yankee aruguement of 26 rings, can I use that to say the Boston Celtics are the the greatest in Basketball with the 16 championships? Am I happy the Sox won in 04 and 07, yes, but I don't like the way Baseball is set up. There should be an even playing field, so every team has a shot. Not just the Sox, Yanks or (insert over spending National league team here). I will never be totally happy unless MLB has a cap.

How do you get eliminated by florida in the world series? The 2003 boston team was even less prepared to take on a team with a young josh becket and curt schilling (before he turned ancient). Florida had good pitching at the time. And your "new century" Red Sox as you may call them are not nearly as dominant as you think they are. With one world series win the Yankees will have just as many WS titles the Red Sox currently do.
