  • So I install to Windows 7 because Windows 7 is the lowest OS I use in my environment. If you had XP and Windows 7 you would deploy to Windows XP and in all honestly best to create one version for XP one for Windows 7. App-V is part of MDOP so the App-V client will be found on the MDOP media.

  • Thanks for posting this video. Very appreciated. Where did you download the software from and the app-v client? I had a very, very hard time finding it. It's not on technet yet.

  • There are some MS Best practices and general advice missing in this video. Have a look at appvtraining dot dot com where I did my training.

  • Sorry. Ran out of words on the first comment.

    3) You said it's best to install to the lowest level of OS - e.g. XP but it seems you are installing to Windows 7

  • Thanks for this video.

    1) Is there a previous video - as you seem to refer to items which have not been discussed in this video - as well, the box already has the sequencing software running it; at 3:30 you refer to Q drive and 8.3 extension as if you had referred to them before

    2) At 2: 22 you say that the install should be from 'expanded' media - not sure what that means as it seems you have the ISO there - is the ISO the expanded media?
