Okay, Why does everyone think all the Legend of Zelda are connected in timeline? Well it's not. -.- Only some are for example = Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask.

At the end of OoT, Link loses his "invaluable friend", Navi. He looks all over for her, but she is nowhere to be found. Frustrated, he searches the Lost Woods, and to his luck, ends up in Termina. At the end of the game, after restoring Termina, he sets his course for Hyrule, where he gets lost, grows up, and eventually turns into a Skull Kid/Stalfos, who becomes TP Link's sword sensei.

This is the untold story of how one boy spends his whole life looking for his best friend.

@GeorgeX01 The storyline doesn't work that way. Link is sent back after defeating Gannondorf, warns Zelda of the future and leaves so the events of Majora's Mask take place as he finds a "dear friend" which i'm guessing is Navi. That's where the story of Wind Waker comes in,... 100 years later.

They call it the split storyline theory, since Ocarina had 2 endings.

There could be three endings.

The one you're speaking of can split to just Wind Waker, or Majora's Mask THEN Wind Waker.

The other one splits to Twilight Princess.
