Souad Abdalla is a" kaouliya" gypsy , this is a 70ies recording, she is singing a Chobi style which is not gypsy but from the western part of Iraq "Ramadi" people of that region favor them for celebrations and stated demanding them to sing western rhythm . when I tell my family in Iraq that Sarim listens to Souad Abdalla they are shocked, they would never even imagine that anybody from outside Iraq would be interested.
