  • Looks to me like an effective way of placing delicate parts on a space station during construction or repairs. Dont know how you could try this in a 0-gravity enviornment with out spending every penny you own, though

  • this looks like a neodymium hard drive magnet? You really can't think of a use for this "effect"? *sigh*

  • sos un nabo se nota el cablesito

  • @186042 taco taco

  • i don't know for what that thing can be used, but it looks pretty cool XD

  • The harddrive magnet has a strange polarity (all the ones I have checked); they have 4 poles - two north, two south; each end has a strong north and south side, and the two norths and two souths are diagonal from each other.

It would be interesting to see you demo with a magnet with only two poles - the analysis of what is happening might be simpler.

  • its being held up by wire

  • What the fuck am i watching?

  • you should tray this with the ferrofluid :D

  • you should stick you cock through that hole

  • you really used a ring from a baby toy... now thats innovative .

  • this is like the hutchinson effect!

  • FAKE !!!!

  • Can you place a glass of water inside, place a magnet inside the glass and set the frequency to 42280kHz and push it up to around 42800kHz slowly, time laps film if you have to? I recall a UHF experiment I read about, though it involved a quartz crystal tube instead of a rodin coil (glass and magnet).

  • You cant spin using only 2 "points" because the magnet never actually turns.

  • with alternating current the magnetic field will spin... thats almost how motors work... but they have 3 magnets

  • ok all coils can make"Magnets Vibrate to Produce Sounds.....'

  • i made 1 of those in like 5 mins

  • In fact this is exactly the way a three-phase permanent magnet motor works. Check out the design of the stator of a three-phase brushless motor. The reason this works is that you can produce a rotating magnetic field due to the net B-vector being the vector sum of the B-vectors of the three windings.

Three-phase transformers similarly work by producing a rotating magnetic field with the primary windings, which then cuts across three other (secondary) windings, producing current in those.

  • wow i can see u move the magnet with a thin wire

  • THATS FAKE! i can see a thread thats pullink that bitch up

  • @durexXxPlay

WOW some people are beyond dumb. That wire you're talking about is simply maintaining the magnet above the ground. He cannot make it stick to the side of the torus without moving the wire and he isn't... it's the magnet which is being hauled by the coil towards a specific direction. Some people shouldn't be allowed to comment.

  • tu croi que on ne vois pas le fil !!!!!!!!!! tu sais pas faire sa !!!!! c nu !!!! regarder a 1.50 on vois le fiel en haut a droit de l'écant

  • fake, i see magnet is fixed

  • @everkill1236 man du verstehst warscheinlich kein englisch deswegen kommst du mit der dummen äuserung: "hahaha man sieht einen faden" omfg O.o

  • Look up water rotation rates at room temp... I think around 20 GHz.

  • where dşd u fşbd that copper wire

  • Am I missing something? Changing the DC offset to an AC current is the same thing as a pulsing DC current, if the offset is great enough. Would you not get the same movement from switching the polarity of a DC current?

  • I see the Fibonacci numbers ... )

  • Thanks. for Share i realy appreciate that :)

  • @Halonberget du honk der magnet hängt am faden

  • hahaha man sieht ein faden

  • @everkill1236 de magnet hängt am faden damit er hängt schlauberger

  • Let me know, would like to see this thing built. I have the primary flat coil made 1993 you 'd have to made the seconday peripherial coil.

  • Impressive coil I thought about fashioning a 90 deg wind on a torid, but you did it, close to 90. Anyway, would you like to know how to induce a semi-inductionless coil (transformer-I call it a locked rotor type, massive pressures), whereby there are differing Coeff. of Couplings? Where the reflected (Kcr) is less than the Coeff. of Coupling induced (Kci). That's Kcr<Kci. This isn't in any textbooks.

  • Rodin said this coil is a propulsion system. His intent is for space travel. The coil is ment to be pulsed a certain way with only DC. Have you tried this? One coil on, then the other coil on, then both off. Try 555 timers set with pwm diodes and some pots, and give that a shot and see how far you can launch a magnet or polarized gas!

  • Love it! Thanks for spreading the info and creating interest on this area for kids, schools, future generations. Its a lot of help, and you cant imagine the impact work like this has on the curiosity oand imagination of people all around the world. That goes for all of you posting videos like this. I just find this area really interesting, and it seems it has a huge potential for all kinds of practical and beneficial use and application. Kudos for you! Keep up the good work!

  • I made a standard biflar rodin coil, but instead of the hallow toroid, I wound it over a insulated copper coil that was thick enough to form a toroid. I don't have a signal generator like yours, I have been using a simple 555 timer driving a 2n3055 power transistor. I plan on making two more 555 coil drivers, and tuning it by ear. Some time I will need to buy an oscilloscope for the tuning of high frequency, and so that I can see the wave form too,

  • Can you post a video of you sending different signals through each of the three coils at the same time? Try making a major triad such as C/E/G, or a minor triad such as C/Eb/G. The third of the chord, E/Eb, should be interesting. Maybe try just the 1/5/1, or a C/G/C. I would really enjoy seeing and hearing that. Make sure to use perfect harmonics, and not those found on the piano. The piano is equaly out of tune for playing in all keys. Use the original tuning of the harpsichord, think Bach!!!

  • what's the machine you're using called? that is feeding your Rodin coil with amps?

  • Excellent work! I think Marko would be proud!

  • Thanks....

  • i wanna see it React with water.. .. An important feature of water is its polar nature. The water molecule forms an angle, with hydrogen atoms at the tips and oxygen at the vertex. Since oxygen has a higher electronegativity than hydrogen, the side of the molecule with the oxygen atom has a partial negative charge

  • Ill try it when I get the time... nice idea!

  • @kubikop or try sixteen points..... you should look up some of the free masonary info.... theres one that shows all of the mathmatics involved.... just a matter of applying them

  • That would be interesting..

  • @ABCDesmond it is also diemagnetic

  • What if you wrap the wire, then warp a separate wire in the opposite direction of the first wire?

  • Do you mean hook it up opposite? cause wrapping it opposite is the third coil I think?

    Is that what you mean?

  • @kubikop I mean a separate power supply flowing in the opposite direction!

  • Haha I noticed those were magnets from the hard drive he used for the pulse motor. Anyways paul I see you got a donate link now hope it helps in getting some funding to help with the projects.

  • Hopefully as I am getting poorer...

  • it's good to be fascinated by reality and good to learn and not to discourage your genuine personal discovery, the use for magnetic manipulation is grand already. electric motors for instance as well as speakers. keep at it

  • Thanks will do...

    Paul..

  • sacred geometry

    grtzzz

  • You have displayed the basics of how the earths rotation works with the inner star...

  • It's great that you can make magnets align and levitate in these things but as for flying, you still have to physically lift the coil so you could just as easily lift the magnet instead. What am I missing??

  • Now you have directionality. Time to build that craft.

  • You would need "Large" Amounts of Power for that.

Ill have a go to make it float though...

    Paul..

  • If you have two coils each wound opposite to the other and one smaller set inside or the same size on top of the other you may make it spin

  • Trow that sick HDD Magnets,

they have the Poles close together, and a weird Field,

never got good experience with it

best you can do is cut them in half.

    maybe better use a Sphere.

    Regards

  • Yeah, Im using disk magnets now...

    Cheers..

  • is that a hard drive magnet your using ?

  • Yeah, it was the first magnet I put my hand on...

  • hello. Any luck trying to hook it up to the Bedini? just got my diametrically neos in today so im gonna try this weekend. The new Rodin coil videos from Jamie have me really excited about this. Messaged him about making a stronger coil to produce more torque. ANy ideas. Multi-filar windings? Litzed wire, parrallel strung, layered on top one another? let me know what you think.

  • Bedini to come, I like to take it step by step and learn on the way.

    Cheers Paul..

  • Автор думал что леску никто не заметит?

The author thought that the fishing line that nobody notices?

  • the guy says he is dangling it down in the video, that isn't the point of it anyway.

  • Thanks, some people just think they are being ripped off even when always tell the truth..

    Cheers for the defense..

  • kubipop, great looking coil, sweet job

please take a look at my short video called neospin9 that is a Rodin coil motor with pretty good torque and rpm.

    aloha

  • will do, thanks..

  • my god this is boring

  • Im must be on the right track if you find it boring...

    Thanks

    Paul..

  • it isn't, its fascinating and I'm not being sarcastic, if you don't like it don't watch it to begin with.

  • Thanks...

  • See Zeropoint132.

Place the concave mirror under you coil.

Place a sphere magnet on the mirror.

Pulse the coils in sequence. Recover the energy produced in the two 'open' coils and feed that to the third. Use SPDT reed switches to effect the timing.

    8)

  • i had some interestig effects with mains AC on the magnetic field., wery strong magnetic field!

  • -.-'

  • Thanks

  • the reason that it moves from side to side when you change the offset is because the kubik isnt perfectly uniform. this make an electro magent when you change the offset it changes the polarity of the electromagnet!

  • Maybe I think I could be other things but I could believe that for now..

    Cheers.

    Paul..

  • Orient the coil vertically, then use the compass, and you can see the field lines. Very interesting that you can attract the magnet to each inner side like that.

  • Kubipopper - A beuatiful job winding that Rodin coil, looks great, you have a lot of patience. Please post more videos with experimental results soon, looking forward to seeing them.

    Aloha

  • if your coil was oriented vertically, one dc offset might levitate an object in the center. Another might pull it down with more force.

  • nicely done

  • Thanks..

  • do you ever sleep ;-]

  • He does. These videos are his dreams. ;-)

  • lol, And thats why you always see it through my eyes.....;-)

    Paul..

  • Nice job as usual. have you thought about using the coil as a pickup coil for a spinning neodymum.Or a bedini type pulse coil? I am very interested to see it as a pickup though to see if there is an amplification of the voltage or if it even works at all. I have t wait till the end of the week before y neos get here to try it out. would love to know thanks

  • Thanks and Ill hook it up bedini styles when I get the chance...

    Paul..

  • kubipop, Precisely wound with care. What tells you to have 3 winds at 120 degrees, instead of 2 winds like the regular Rodin coil? Are the winds done in "opposite sense", as newomatrix11 describes, one CW, one CCW, or do all the winds goe in the same direction? Thanks for any clarifications.

Aloha and good luck with your forthcoming reactionless drive.

  • I just looked at it and it made sense in my head to make three, Its like one coil can always be off with the the other two 120 out of phase by 120.. I have a thought that three sine waves produced from three square waves (in resonance) can be DC shifted so one coil is at zero and any one time... Thats if it works...

    Paul..

  • this has to be the key to spaceships lol

  • lol, I wonder how this would combine with a lifter....

  • 'Almost Levitating'

  • You say that but I need to find out my 1mm by 20mm disc magnets as I feel they may float up from the center when the amplitude of the wave is at the correct point....
