I'm upset about it now though, I have sent Peter donations because I agree with him on his sound money policies but this Foreign Policy statement really makes me wonder, maybe once in the Senate he'll side with the Military Industrial Complex trolls.

there is a video of him talking about dismantling the MIC. check out Russia Today's interview with him if still available. I too question his foreign policy views, but our economy is in shambles. as you stated, he does have a sound monetary policy. if he makes it to the senate, at least we'll have 2 sane minds in our legislative body who are oppose to government handouts/bailouts, federal health plan, and abolishing the Federal Reserve. although i'm not to sure schiff's stance on the Fed.

You are right, that's why we shouldn't be in the business of giving 'Foreign Aid' to anyone, specially in the form of militarism.
It is not in our best interest to get involved in the internal affairs of other nations. The Israeli people felt like taking those lands because the invisible man they talk to told them to do so, they should have to face the consequences of these actions ALONE for they should be as important to us as is Bolivia, Madagascar or New Zeland.

What does invalidate what he says is his tendency to premise everything on utilitarian ethics. The same ethics that have led so many so far astray so many times before.
He has intelligent things to say about economic matters, being and austrian scholar, but I don't think he really accepts that government by its nature is evil, as is collectivism and generally the assignment of moral responsibility to non-existent entities.

Iran will attack the US if their facilities are bombed by the US military and WW3 will probably start. Iran's military is much much stronger than iraq's military was and with a war that big the US military might need a draft.

I agree. Schiff looks like a pro-Israel neocon right now. His comments are careless regarding forwein policy. My hope is he hasn't given it much thought or he is playing "tough" to get the primary GOP voters.
He will fine tune his foreign policy platform to that of a more Constitutional, non-interventionist nature or I will not work for him as I planned to. Being dead right on the economy is great, but attacking countries because they won't let inspectors in is neoconservative nonsense.

I just think its funny because Lew Rockwell and company will completely miss this video and continue to hail Peter Schiff as some sort of libertarian purist, when in fact he, in opposition to those in the lewbertarian camp, think WW2 was neccessary and just, as he has said in podcasts and video blogs, and that attacking Iran might be neccessary as well.

The title is misleading if you don't listen to his words.
He said he was AGAINST an occupation. He said if Iran had a nuclear weapons facility they won't let us inspect, we just blow the place up. This is not an invasion, this is not an act of war.
Obviously, if a country is attacked like we were on 9/11, you have to you have to retaliate. To do nothing is inconceivable and against every American value, unless you are a pothead hippie with no values at all.

I like the first part of the statement but resorting to a name calling diatribe, you lose support. I am none of the above, but I think we attacked the wrong nation. Thats I think is one of the flaws of Peter his a brilliant and honest economist but his attitude towards things like Inside job, False Flag Operations, NWO is blind. peter is solid on econonomics. but he strays on foreign policy. he hasn't made up his mind if he wants to follow the constitution on foreign policy yet. he is all for following the constitution regarding economics. he wants to follow bushs preemptive war using intelligence, like nuclear facilities. but of course he understands international support, united nations security council. he is just very new to the political scene and strays on foreign policy.

His response was to a hypothetical situation. At least he is thinking about what would happen if Iran started building nuclear weapons. I think they are more likely going to make those facilities invisible to our spying anyway. I am sure they would have plenty of people to build a hidden facility! But, at least he is talking about not sending troupes into danger for another un-winnable war! Wouldn't it be protecting our interests to make sure we did not get bombarded with a nuclear attack?
