There is something very sweet and beautiful, and seemingly authentic, about her in her interviews. In her performances, she always seems a little awkward, which makes her seem a little stiff, perhaps, or like she lacks "stage presence". But I find the whole thing rather endearing, actually. I think she is doing something real with her music and videos, something that reflects a real sense of nostalgia for adolescence, for the freeness and spontaneity and wholeheartedness of that age and time.

Honestly I like her more and more BECAUSE of her interviews, I have to say I had been a little nauseated by how she came across in the Video Games, uh, video (though couldn't help being impressed with the song, duh) and the idiotic looking hipster dude in Born to Die...unh. But she is undeniably creative and personable and it changed her songs from being beautiful but remote to me to actually feelin', seeing that she has flaws and takes crap has made me connect, fer sure.

God forbid anybody ever create any kind of art other than the mainstream bullshit I have to listen to every time I turn on my radio. There are always going to be people who are afraid of anything different and try to diffuse that beauty by talking about record company conspiracy theories. @sweetsweetjasmine Apparently so but I have friends who have had surgery & I don't see it in this girl, I saw old photos & her features remain the same except for hair, style and ofcourse eyebrows&make up which change everything. Photos of myself 4yrs ago look VERY different because my eyebrow shape changed the way my eyes appear to be set, that being said who knows, I'm not defending her cos I'm not really her biggest fan lol just making an observation
