  • POSTER CHILDREN ROCK SO HARD!

  • There is a reason for the sound stinking. I had just bought a new Sony camcorder and had assumed that the new Sony's sounded as good as the old Sony's (they didn't). I had to go out and buy an auxiliary mike after that before I could use it again. If anybody out there has decent audio on any of the SXSW Spinart showcase concerts let me know.

  • even when the sound quality sucks, the poster children still rock! :p

  • PC rocks forever !!!

  • Is that Howie back there? Can't see him.

  • cant you tell by the hair? that is evident at least

  • Oops, the first song is 6x6. Silly!

  • Wow - I cannot believe we actually played the song "Water" in 2000! What a great video, thanks so much for sharing!! (And the first song was "Sick of it All.")

I remember it was freezing cold rain outside and I think the tent kept coming down on us!

  • Lots of irony filled songs in that set including the "This is just an accident waiting to happen" song. There were some tornadoes in the area along with some hail. The tent did stop leaking after about the 2nd song and the temperature seemed to drop 40 degrees in a couple of minutes. It was an amazing show. I actually had a shot of Texas superfan "Kevin" (his dad would drive him throughout Texas when you toured), but my brother cut a few seconds off the end of the clip when he put it up.

  • Ah, the days of being a superfan. I miss those. I'm probably very glad that didn't actually remain in the video, but at the same time kinda sad! Would've been something for friends to harass me about for the foreseeable future.

  • I doubt they would recognise you. In the clip you basically looked like you were tired and about to pass out at the end of the show.

  • That would be accurate. The funny thing is that my parents actually like(d) the band as much as I did/do. My dad still asks me if I've heard anything as good as Poster Children...

  • Was that the most amazing Poster Children show you saw? I will be kicking myself forever that I let my brother take my old Sony camcorder to film the Waco Brothers (rained out after 10 minutes) and kept the new Sony Camcorder for myself. I had no idea until I played back the footage that the new Sony's sounded horrible. If I had just kept the old Sony it would have sounded perfect. Still, the footage is amazing to look at.

  • Tough call. Lafayette in 99 was amazing, first time I saw them in a bar here in Austin back in 97 blew my mind, and the Salaryman show at Atomic Cafe after the PC show in this video proved fantastic as well. Still, the show in 2001 or 2002 in La Cross, WI stands out as well. I was in school in MN, drove in a snowstorm to the show, had dinner with the band (I was a nervous wreck), and watched them DESTROY in front of about 10 people. Commitment like that made me believe I could play music too

  • Wow, you are so lucky. I've only seen them 3 times. I thought the Rudyards show was also really good. Remember Rose (who was jumping on tables) let you sit on a chair on stage during one song.

  • Yeah, back in the era of questionable hair color. :D I think I saw the band about 11 or 12 times...and honestly, I could use many more! I can't express how amazing it was to find an amazing band that I could relate to as a dorky kid in a small town. The tour diaries exposed me to a world of music I'd otherwise of never known, music that changed my life. I had a pretty good run here in Austin with my old band, and all my live show moves were stolen from Rose!

  • Oh, and thanks a ton for the video! Hell of a flashback, a great one.
