  • No disrespect taken. I met with a officer in texas when i was going to make "flavoring" . which is basically watered down brandys, She said i didnt have to have a liscence as long as i wasnt selling any of it. LOL.. then for about a year i had an officer show up at my home several times just to visit. I wasnt making enough that they considered me able to sell. not nice folks you want on your case.. let me tell you for sure now.

  • @itsjustdeb579 i got good cop friends that love the stuff........but an atf agent wound be different

  • @ironhead41 They aint none nice... let me just put it like that.. meaning atf. Thats only three letters i hate worse tha irs

  • its not illegal to distill its illegal to sell what you distill

  • @itsjustdeb579 go to atf(dot)gov and show me where it's legal.......no disrespect

  • @itsjustdeb579 Not in the USA. You can't even distill water without a license.

  • I thought we could make like a gallon a year for personal consumption without tax license in us?

  • I did this idea, i used two 12-15 ounce bottles of molasses. I put in 4 lbs of sugar, and 24 grams of yeast. I put it all the water, but added in 6 cans of all natural pineapple juice. I ferminated it for a week, and ages it for another. I tasted it and it doesnt seem that strong, any tips of how to make it stronger alch %. I forgot to add that I did this in a 5 gallon bucket

  • @dusknixs You can make any homebrew stronger through a very simple process called "jacking". Just freeze your homebrew into a slush, turn the bottle upside down and let the liquid drip into another container.

Alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than does water, so the first drippings will have a higher concetration of alcohol.

However there are two very important things to remember:

    1. Never jack a mash. Only use a wine.

    2. Always jack, at least, half of the wine.

  • you know you can freeze distil, it is perfectly fine and you get like 40% alc content

  • What was the alcohol Content? I'm looking to start my 1st batch. Do I have to distill it? Or can drink it once it stops bubbling like wine?

  • @Manny1M 15 to 20% ....distilling is illegal without a tax liscense.....can drink it when its done

  • Hey ironhead41, great video. It was really helpful, but I was wondering if there is another step or two before you can drink it, or if you can dive right in from there. I do love my eyesight, so a little assistance would be great. Thanks man.

  • @guitardudester91 its illegal to distill alcohol in the us......but it should be done to this.....you can drink it like it is tho......no blindness.....i have a vid called zippo refinery part 2 of 3(sometimes my vids are titled different than what they are for).....hehe

  • @ironhead41 ok cool, I'll definitely have to check that out. And what momma doesn't know don't hurt her ;)

  • u should have run it through a coffee filter to lighten it a little

  • How can i get that type pvc pipe what you used?

  • Is it good brown sugar for molasses?

  • @196519751994 it was ok to be homemade......i am not a big fan of a dark rum at all........i would only do this again if i had no money but had the stuff.....

  • This shouldn't be 'rum''. More like 'molasses wine'. Might taste better if you replace the molasses(ugh I don't see why people buy rum) with sugar cane juice. Nowadays I do 'Melissa water' that stuff is good for you.

  • @kinggtonii rum comes from the next stage of processing.........

  • Captain Jack Sparow should have known that : )

  • Clean Kitchen! Nice :) My family loves your videos, keep em coming :) ***** stars

  • Another nice video!

  • no scratch n sniff? are you gonna filter it or did you already? back when i drank, rum was my poison.

  • i forgot to say smell it....dang it...lol

  • Sweet

  • You don't like Yuengling? That's my favorite beer!! Send that rum over to me - I'll drink it!!

    Great video!

  • @boomd1791 I;m gonna take yet another tour of their brewery in two weeks - headed to theBattle of the Bulge reenactment at Fort Indiantown Gap Pa gain this year

  • it does taste like it....i tried my first yingling yesturday...not my cup of tea....i said that to pick on u and YP....lol

  • could use some evaporation or somethin like that

Sounds like it worked pretty well, maybe needs more sugar

Thanks for the nother good vid ironhead41

  • I was wondering what happened with the rum experiment.

    Good job as always ironhead.
