@Jim01001011 what oath did you take? The one that I took demands I uphold the constitution...where does the constitution authorize powers for the federal government to use military force on journalists?

@Jim01001011 The point of the oath is simple. It is taken to reinforce the idea of how we operate to the standard set by the constitution. It is to remind us how if we fail to maintain that standard the entire effort becomes meaningless and petty (not to mention the effort was wrong and illegal to begin with).

"What good did he do?" He attempted to remind us that we should not be playing a game of 'anything goes imperialism' and that we can be wrong, sometimes very wrong.

Manning did the right thing. If you know someone who has taken an oath to protect against enemies both foreign and domestic, ask them.....what do you feel is a 'domestic' enemy?
