  • what kind of screw driver can you use to open the screws on top of a PSP 2000 SLIM that you mentioned in 0:32 ?

  • @LimFuoEn

its the cross-type phillips screw driver, some psp's have star shaped screws.

  • u should really trim those talons O_O

  • @dragonator8161ex disassemble it get out the analog stick take it apart and rub the entire thing down with alcohol

  • a guide to unscrewing psp screws :p

  • i like disassembly but i am weak at assembly :(

  • OMG!!!! You guys should see my friends PSP before I helped him replace the shell.

It was busted up!!! He has dropped it so much that it separated at the top and let dust into the screen. it was held together with tape. he bought the shell, but was to afraid to replace it himself, so i did it for him. now he has an almost new PSP!!!

  • thats phat not slim

  • where can u get that type of screw driver.

  • the fucking screws r too tight on mine i hav the silver 1

  • I give up! stupid screw on the bottom! won't even budge!

  • I need help i cant take the screw on the bottom

  • what? my buttons have this brown circle rubber connected to it what is that? can someone help me?

  • @TheRogueMonk The rubber found under the buttons is actually the button itself, when you press the button, the plastic with the symbol on it, hits the rubber, and the rubber makes contact with the chip. The rubber is basically the button because after you press the button it acts like a spring and moves back up again. Allowing you to press.

  • ya, dont talk or nothin dude.

  • why is it that none of these videos do any justice to how frickin' TIGHT those screws are?!

  • The umd lid ring is larger than my slim and lite. Odd.

  • then you have the psp 3000 slim and brite. i have the 3000 too and also the original 1000

  • do you think you could make a video on replacing a broken psp slim Headphone jack cuz i can't find a video on it anywhere?

  • Thank you for this video.

  • How i can change analog stick in my psp SLim can you say me?

  • Nevermind... Damn, I thought for sure it would workk...

  • It wasn't what i expected not a full disassembly

  • thank you for showing us how to do this. i want to put a glowing faceplate on my psp but i was afraid of breaking it or something. now i see is easy :)

  • Weak disassembly... Only the faceplate lmao

  • thanks for the video.

  • the top and bottom screws seem imposible to open @_@

    any tips?

  • maybe a new screwdriver?if not maybe it got stripped.

  • is it a fat psp or u need the alen key thing not a screw driver

  • this is the psp slim.

  • I've got the same problem, top two and bottom one... QQ

  • Wait, all I did... Was press real hard on the Screwdriver, and it worked... QQ

  • hehehe i know this maybe un-repairable but there's this little thing (where you insert the UMD) for the PSP SLim it;s in the second circle, and if Fat PSP it's in the first Circle. IT looks like a flipper and when you like push it up it loads the games and movie UMD. well okay, i lost that piece (somehow *looks at sister*) is there a replaceable piece i can buy? or am i fucked?

  • Yeah, there's no way of replacing that. (*glances at ur sis*) lol

  • nah i found the problem the motor is brewken (broken)

  • please help me i need to know how to fix my psp because one time i drpped it on the gravle outside of my house and now it wont download or read UMD disks please help me

  • you probably need to change the umd laser diode but if the shell and what not is still ok and works fine get custom firmware and you wone need the umd slot

  • i have a slim how can you fix the analog stick

  • @dragonator8161ex unfortuntly id say ud have mto replace it i had to on mine but its real easy just a bit fiddly but i manged to do it when i was 13 and i can barly speel so id say u can do it

  • hmm from wat i learned in shop class..i think u gota get a very thin drill bit and drill the screw out. careful tho

  • use a knife..,hehehe!!!.,

  • The 1 on the top and the one at the bottom is SO TIGHT!!! Cant remove them

  • thats what she said

  • how do you unscrew the bottom of psp and the two on top?

    its too tight.???

  • wat screw driver is that

  • Great video. But I have a problem. On the bottom of my psp, I tried to remove the screw, but I instead wore out the screw so it became a "0" from a "+". If you have a solution, please message me. Oh yeah, was it tight when you first removed it? It was tight as hell for me.

  • same problem but not as bad. need a different screwdriver, i guess

  • you don't have to remove the screws on the top, only the ones on the back, bottom and behind the battery cover

  • You know, when I took of the sticker that said warrunty void if seal is damaged, well when I took it off, I could see the word VOID, or parts of it.

  • Thats cuz you just voided your warranty. Thats a security feature for the sticker. I looks fine and normal. Once you peel or lift up the sticker, VOID is now visible.

  • I dont really care, my 90 day warranty was up anyway.

  • its a *cough*1 year manufacturer warranty cough*

  • how can u tell wat version ur psp is because i cant tell

  • @Daprotecter 1000 is big and bulky, 2000 is obviously lighter and slimmer, 3000 looks alot like the 2000 except the Home, Select and Start buttons are more rounded like a circle

  • @Daprotecter

its on the settings >system settings>system information...

  • @Guitarism300 you can get a new sticker when you buy a new replacement full shell

  • if it was your motherboard, i dont think your PSP would be working. screen could be defective.

  • pls help.. where can i buy the small screw driver for the top screw of my psp slim? I spent the whole day looking for it.. pls help.. thanks

  • See link in video description for sites such as ConsoleShop or Divineo. They have tools.

  • do they do shipping? I can't seem to locate the link.. i hope you can help me with this.. i'm really desperate.. thanks man..

  • Click on MORE INFO at the top. Links will show. They are online stores. If you know how to use a PSP, its not so hard to look for a link or even a google search.

  • ok. thanks a lot. It's kinda hard to find this screw driver here in our place. I hope I can find one soon. Is this the same as the screw driver "T4"? I can't find a triple square screwdriver.

  • There are different sizes that can work, T4, #00, #001. Again, this can all be answered by searching Google. A normal small and thin philips screwdriver works. If you have a eye glasses screwdriver set, that works too. This is my last reply to this

  • and then?

How to remove the Screen and other things?

  • can u use a fat psps lcd screen on a psp light

  • can i replace the analog nub with a analog dualshock?

  • Probably could but might need some modification to it. Google to see if it can be done.

  • was that a Phillips #000 screwdriver?

I have one that can open the original..do u know if it can do the same?

  • Tools needed:

    1x 0 or 00 Philips Screwdriver

    1x small tweezers

    1x small flat-head screwdriver

  • for some reason when i put in my new lcd slim psp screen, i dont see any pictures but the backlight works... is this bc of the screen not working???

  • Check and make sure the ribbon for the screen is attached correctly

  • yes i checked it, it seems that the backlight ribbon works. when i tested my broken screen, and inserted the ribbon i can only see the cracks, when i put in the new screen, only the backlight shows up and no screen.

Do you think i need to replace the whole motherboard or do i need a new screen?? the screen is brand new and not bought from e bay

  • ok. thanks a lot. It's kinda hard to find this screw driver here in our place. I hope I can find one soon. Is this the same as the screw driver "T4"? I can't find a triple square screwdriver.

  • thank you so much man. that helped alot
