If that doesnt make you feel guilty then I don't know what will. But, it also makes me want to do something about it. Not just continue on with my life in my "Christian Bubble" but to step out and face the world head on!
@BananaPeel127 the point he's trying to put across is that it seems that Christians try to separate themselves from the world so much that we sometimes disconnect ourselves to the point where we can't minister to them. We are so disconnected that we can't spread the word of God to the world, because we won't even speak to the world. And this is very true for some Christian but not all.
All those books haven't helped me. I even got the one by Amy (or Anne) Graham Lotz and it was nice, but it didn't address the issue.
The book that came closest to helping was called 'Disappointment W/ God,' by Phillip Yancy. And my pastor gave it to me. I thought I wasn't allowed to be disappointed until my pastor said even prophets experienced disappointment.
What helped most was meeting a person, who went through the same experience.
u guys made me re think my whole relation ship wit God i was lookin on u tube and i found u guys and i realy needed that when u said that stuff i almost cried at the prspective of my life n the past year and now i am starting fresh thx plz pray 4 me u guys rock
So. We're supposed to live exactly like the world, go where the world goes, do what they do, drink what they drink, talk like they talk, wear what they wear? So they can see Jesus in us and know Him? Yeah this made so much sense. Not. I love onetimeblind, but this one dissapoints me. How are they supposed to see Jesus in us if we don't base our lives off of Jesus?
@saxxxophoneee they are not saying do what they do, because that is not right, but they are saying more that, go out and try to befriend them and learn to understand them, to love them, because that is what this world needs, more people that are christians that actually go out and reach the people who they might not get along with because they know its right, show God's love, not join in the bad things they do, just try to understand them so you know how to help them
There were days when all new tech were mixed with the filth, whether its Hollywood promoted movies or gross books or cultist musics and so forth.. But thanks be to God, believers invented the biggest parallel economy of all times... But the challenge is that, its easy to appear Christian now and not be a real one inside, with your clothes and so on.... And there are also a lot of infiltration from the evil one.. So we got to use the gift of discernment. Thanks be to His Spirit who is with us.

this is awesome. We christians really need to ask ourselves: what is holding us back from spreading the word of God? What coud be possibly worse than not telling others the goodnews about Jesus?
lol... sorry but i dont have christian stuff...(socks, shoelace, necklace, books, cds) i dont have cause i cant afford.. but only thing i have is salvation and to tell you that i am not in the bubble i an in the world who need to touch.., thank you.. please pray for me...(this video hook me up....5/5)
its not that we be taken from the world but we be delivered from what is evil.... Jesus wants us to be in this world not just to stay in that "bubble" but to get people in there....
It's true we forget that we are called to be in the world but not of it. If we take Jesus as our yardstick, his idea of ministry was touching every strata of his society, not ministering only to the converted. Nothing has changed, that is still His desire living in us. Lets allow Him out to connect with our world that he loves so much.
The analogy about us being on the arc and the world drowning around us makes me sad that not all of us christians are doing whatever it takes to get the good news to the world. thats basically what this whole video said to me. very powerful...and hilarious! good job!
Good Vid, The devil does only lie, basically, this monologe is just a tool used to help us understand a few things about us christians and what we need to be doing!
Awesome Video... SO True we have seperated ourselves from the World so much with us becoming so secure in our own salvation that we have lost our Zeal to minister to others. We have seperated ourselves so much that when we do try to minister they reject us because we have judged and rejected them. In 2009 let's make a New Resolution let's strive to lead atleast 50 new people to Christ individually!! Praise God for his Word!
This really gets me. It really does. I think I understand what it means: It means that Christians are beginning to block themselves off from everyone else, just ignoring the rest of the world (?) Is that right, guys?
yeah. i wasn't completely right when i said he was taking a good thing and making it sound bad. it really is one of satan's ploys to separate us from everyone so we can't introduce anyone new to Jesus. either way, this video kind of disturbs me because its from the devil but he brings up a good point. i thought the devil could only lie! i guess not??????
"The Bible says your supposed to be light in darkness, NOT LIGHT IN LIGHTNESS! Don't become a salt lick."
He is a very strong advocate of taking the gospel where people are begging to hear the good news. Not what Christians should all abandon western culture, but wake up to the fact that there's more out there besides our own country!
Basically it's saying that we, as Christians, have worked so hard to come up with ideas to separate us from the world so that it doesn't become a bad influence on us that we've gotten to the point where we've stopped being a positive influence on the world. It's a great thing that we have all these things to turn to, but we can't let it stop us from witnessing to the world. Hope that helps. Maybe one time blind can explain it better since they wrote it. haha
you know I didn't heard what they were saying all the time..x"D
I understand it now, but I do not feel the same way..
It's really different for me..
I have a lot of unchristian friends and its kinda sad for them but they dont wanna hear anything about my believes, but (I hope) I'll be a positive influence for them anyway..!
LOVE that ending! That is awesome. The hard part is being in the world. I work in a place where Christians are few and far between. I almost thought about quitting because it was so dark here, but I need to be a light to others, and what better way...
They take ideas, that are common to everybody and combine them with belief and enthusiasm, who sees that more than theatre is delusional and in need of professional help...
if youre talking about the part where he says "if the world can't touch you, you can't touch the world" It talking about being a witness to the people in the world. If we become so comfortable where we are in our walk with god that we don't reach out to others, we might make it to heaven, but we are still doing just what satan wants us to. He wants us to become cold and indifferent so that we can't bring other people to Jesus...
I haven't seen this skit before. When Drew talks it's always like a slap in the face but that's good. It's what we need, well, I should say it's what I need.
Wow!!! That was amazing!
