@winterstellar I don't think Norway ever had an "AIDS problem". What you say probably doesn't have anything to do with the alleged effeciveness of the newer drugs. Apart from that as far as I know the drugs seem to be equally "effective" even on people who test negative for HIV. So apparently they are not really targeting the alleged "HIV" but have a more general effect instead. All in all things are actually not that as simple as you might think.

If you start informing yourself about the Perth Group's work you might begin to see why that argument is scientifically meaningless.

If you're serious about the topic you should investigate the Perth Group's work. Their critique of the HIV theory goes much deeper. And they accept that "HIV positive" test results can be considered a sign of there being something seriously wrong with the person's health. Duesberg has misled many people.
For clarification: But there are probably better ways of learning about a person's health status than doing an "HIV test". Like actually looking for real symptoms... I certainly didn't mean to say that every HIV positive person should be worried about their physical condition. According to PG what might be causing a positive test result may also be causing other unusual things in the body, which may have significant consequences, or at least that's my interpretation of their work at the moment.

That would probably be a somewhat more reasonable argument against Duesberg's "harmless passenger virus" theory of HIV, but I do not belong to that crowd. If you start informing yourself about the Perth Group's work you might begin to see why that argument is scientifically meaningless.

@blockandtackle I updated the video descriptions with direct links to the Perth Group's website. Forget about Duesberg. He's a pseudoscientist. The videos are here just for basic info. If you're serious about the topic you should investigate the Perth Group's work. Their critique of the HIV theory goes much deeper. And they accept that "HIV positive" test results can be considered a sign of there being something seriously wrong with the person's health. Duesberg has misled many people.

For clarification: But there are probably better ways of learning about a person's health status than doing an "HIV test". Like actually looking for real symptoms... I certainly didn't mean to say that every HIV positive person should be worried about their physical condition. According to PG what might be causing a positive test result may also be causing other unusual things in the body, which may have significant consequences, or at least that's my interpretation of their work at the moment.

PLease don't pay attention to any of this garbage. This is HIV denial, pure and simple. This debate is as scientific as a roundtable discussion between creationists or Bigfoot hunters. HIV denial is a dangerous con job, and I encourage everyone online to either type HIV denial into YouTube, or look up the topic on Wikipedia, or elsewhere online. HIV denialists are academic crackpots who have no respect for real science.

HIV has never been isolated. Why isn't this being dicussed? This debate is a farce. It makes both sides seem plausible. I would like to have seen Val Turner and Eleni Papadopoulos in this discussion. Horton, Siegal, Kaplan and Garry are Murderers with nice houses.

Thanks for expressing your discomfort. I actually don't think that it makes the orthodoxy's claims as plausible as Duesberg's, but I agree that the orthodoxy's entire implausibility is not exposed without the PG's involvement.
They are featured in the recent documentary "House of Numbers" thankfully. But I haven't seen it and I don't know how balanced it all is.

What i meant by "both sides seem plausible" is that the subject (or show) is presented as if it is an even playing field to people who are substantially uninformed. I've read a lot of research and correspondence submitted by The Perth Group so this debate is a little simplistic for me. But I guess it's a way of gently breaking the news to unsuspecting viewers.

Se pueden equivocar, eso corre por los dos lados de la polemica. y no tienes por que decirme que hable con enfermos de SIDA, ellos saven como cualquiera que tienen una enfermedad que esta afectando su sistema inmune, pero eso no prueva la existencia del virus. A demas si es por cantidad de gente, te recuerdo que en el pasado muchos pensavan en su gran mayoria q la tierra era plana. A demas te pregunto algo: por que no pasa esto con los demas virus ni con las otras enfermedades? que casualidad q solo pasa con el VIH, por que jamas he visto cientificos diciendo q el virus de la gripa no exista o que alguna enfermedad tenga gato encerrado como pasa con el SIDA. Notice how the 'dissidents' are looking at the evidence and offering hypotheses from the evidence.
The mainstream insists that HIV causes AIDS and that then seek to support this with 'evidence' that supports this conclusion. Any contrary 'evidence' is dismissed, ridiculed or ignored.
The same pattern can be found in any field of 'professional' activity - economics, education, politics etc.
