Omqq I'm Goinqq Throuqh That Process Ritee Now ! How Lonq Did It Takee To Get To Your Natural Hair . It's Been About 9 Months Sincee iLast Relaxed And Had Too Chop All My Lonqq Hair Intoo A Bob !
What are you mixed with because I have had a relaxer and my new growth comes out just like urs soft and curly and I want to go back natural too what do yo think?
Nice video!!! We have the same type of hair...I'm 22 now and I've been growing my natural hair for about a year and a half. Ever since I was younger, my mom made my sister and I go to the salon and get relaxers. A few years ago, my sister stopped relaxing her hair and now she has the longest, most gorgeous curly hair!!! Now, I'm trying to get to that level lol, but it took her like 4 years!!! -___- It's hard to be patient, but I know it will be worth it in the end! You look great!! =D
I thought you had to get the "big chop" to go natural, guess I was wrong, but I do know how to take care of my hair I f I go natural(i'm 12) and my mom dont either lOl and its not any natural hair stylist around where I live :(
@siinger1 Well, I didn't technically get the "big chop" when most women get it. Most women get it during the beginning of their hair journey to natural hair....me....truthfully, I was scared sick because I've always had longer hair. So, I got my relaxed hair cut into a bob, then I didn't get anymore relaxers since then. As my hair grew out, I trimmed about an inch off every few months. When my natural hair was about my shoulders (while the relaxed ends were below it) that's when I cut the rest.
@siinger1 I've learned that the best stylist is yourself for your hair. No one knows what your hair takes except you. Stylists are great, but the misconception is that all stylist are great. I think that many make the hair appear to be healthy, but after a lil' while, you start to see that the hair isn't in a good state. It all depends on the method the stylist use. Healthy hair results in good hair....burnt hair always results in damaged hair.
@siinger1 Just take care of your relaxed hair. Get Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner if you can because that adds protein to the relaxed hair that the relaxer has taken protein from. Also, make sure to shampoo and condition your hair at least every 1-2 weeks. Very important to never use shampoo without conditioner. Make water your best friend. You can use it everyday or when you want. It's the best moisturizer and natural. Stay away from hot appliances unless you know how to use it.
What song is tht? I am a black girl tht freakin heard tht song once before watching ur video and fell in love with it lol. What is it called it's amazing
What is the song called? I was feeling it lol! I kinda want to go natural after watching this! my hair is so short though and it's nappy-i don't know if i could handle it every day in it's nat. state
@missbubblegum25 It's called Dance Bailalo by Kat de Luna. You should go natural! There's no such thing as nappy in my mind. All hair has a different texture/curl, but having curly hair is so worth it. Once the hair is healthy, the beauty of the hair is also magnified. Chemically treated hair causes so much more problems that people don't realize such as cancer or the hair breaking off. It's not worth it. You just have to look at those with the curly hair for an ending goal and for inspiration.
@evabaybeh11 The products I use is heavy enough to weigh my hair down including my new growth. I don't really scrunch at all because my hair has enough curls, but what I do is pull my curls down and blow-dry the root just in the back of my head to make my curls seem longer. It is because the front of my hair has looser curls and the back has tighter curls, so I try to even it all out.
LOVE IT! I noticed a big difference too when I let go of relaxers :-) my hair was much healthier and stronger
