  • she's awesome!

  • Hey Audience... Shut the hell up! Don't go to a concert with a damn cough!

  • with all due respect to the masters and their followers... why is it that no one current can write a "classical" piece..?? ..or am I missing something?

  • @frekijsimpson you are. haha :D it has plenty....i dont know anyone right now, i mean no name. but it has alot of guys.....i love female musicians....

  • ana vidovic,li jie,XueFei Yang... is girls better classic guitarists than boys ? boys were always better in everything... those girls are proving the contraire...

  • Rule #1: If you have a cough, please take a cough drop one hour before coming to a concert such as this.

  • BOO

  • kill the disrespectfull audience , how dare they make noise

  • Cok güzel bir yorum,mükemmel bir tek ile birlestiginde......tesekkürler

  • AWESOME :O

  • The classical pieces always have more comments than any other, and unfortunately, it's almost all snobby comments nit-picking this little thing, or that little thing. One has to wonder if the people nit picking the details can even play a kazoo, much less a classical guitar. PLEASE.... hush. Just enjoy the music, ... OR if 20 seconds into the video, you think another guitar player does the piece better... GO WATCH THEIR video.

  • @chuck00999 you are so right I can't agree more.

  • is that not LiJie? Sure doesn't look like Xuefei!

  • I think she is best player

  • li jie plays this the best

  • Have you heard David Russell play this?

  • The first three movemennts were very nice. I've heard the 4th played better though.

  • p. sure thats lijie not yang

  • The guy coughing is fucking annoying.

  • hey weel play

    i like this ...

    how are you?

  • what is that for a guitar?

  • very good

  • She is my God!!!

yo nu hablo ingles por lo que digo en español

    Ella es mi diosa!!!

mi inspiracion para seguir tocando la guitarra *¬*

  • Is this REALLY Xuefei Yang? Looks like Li Jie, the hair and the face.

  • first thought i had man

  • Peter Fletcher will be playing this at Carnegie Hall, NYC on March 27.

  • Es demasiado impresionante!!!

  • Everyone must listen to Antigoni Goni playing this piece .She is the GFA winner of 1995 .

It is to be found on a cd produced by Norbert Kraft ( Naxos ).Her timing and tone are flawless .A pity she not here on YT.

  • A little rough playing but very creative deviation from the original score

  • I prefer Martin Pramanik's recorded version!

  • the fourth movement is played differently from the actual sheet music... totally different, and if you're used to the original one, you would probably be dissapointed... or at least i am. :( the original is way better in my opinion.

  • the art of interpretation is not to play as it was written

  • i know, i just like the way the original is. i play the whole song totally different. and rarely play it the same way twice.

i dont expect everybody to like the way i play it, because its just the way i like it at the time... also, i like the way LiJie plays it in the other video, but thats just me

  • are you a very great master to say what interpretation is the Original one? youve seen/heard carlo domeniconi's interpretation? what do you mean original?

  • yes i am a very great master lol ive never even heard that expression. no i haven't heard carlo domeniconi's interpretation, but ive heard quite a few. what i mean by original is the chronology of the "sections" or parts, if you will, as written by domeniconi (well at least in my sheet music). also, im referring only to the fourth movement.

  • :-D very great master

i like xuefei better but they had the same teacher)

  • hello. I play a little, but without mastery. I was interested in what you mean in diffrence what i herd . I liked

  • What do you mean? I would say that this would be about as close as you could possibly get to Li Jie's interpretation without actually being Li Jie. xXx

  • i will not disregard this video is also great...both are equal for me..just an opinion.. peace out

  • what is this guitar? une antonio raya pardo??

  • i wish to do this piece in my graduation recital or sem 8 recital....

  • I prefer lijie's version, it's more beautiful.

  • I agree.

  • Is the some person I know

  • I agree with you

  • she was 16 when she played this

  • she was defenitely 19 because today(2008) she is 29 and this was recorded in (1998)

  • Domeniconi was born in italia but he lives in berlin but because Domeniconi's wife is turkish they go to turkey a lot. He became enamoured with turkish people and culture started the department for guitar studies at the conservatory in Istanbul and developed a compositional style that reflected the regional folk influence. there is a village called koyunbaba in turkey im not sure if its related to this song by the way koyunbaba means sheep-father / shepherd. just some info.

  • @JemShit u been looking at wikipedia then aye? hahaha

  • @JemShit hehe, you are spreading the info in every video you see. good, good.

  • @DeimosGT i did that 2 years ago bro =) but thnx anywayz i bet u probably know more than me =)

  • she's amazing. i can't wait to see her in san francisco in february!

  • It's my favourite interpretation. It isn't played flawlessly and the quality is crap, but the performance sent shivers down my back :)

  • Beautiful music, skillfully played.

  • Li Jie has a much better version than this ; I think she is a better guitarist too.

  • Well i believe she is more expressive and better

  • i think so too

but Li Jie's verison recorded at 14 and she is 25now,i think Li can play even better now

  • Li's version is way better quality-wise, the sound and video are much better which really adds to it. This version sounds just as technically solid (a bit faster, but that's just personal flavor) but doesn't have the sound and look of the other.

  • Antigoni Goni's cd has a track of Koyunbaba.

  • This the second best performance I've heard of Koyumbaba. Although the audio sucks.

  • which do you think is the best

  • this is wonderful... though i'd have to say i really hate the guy who keeps coughing, it's really distracting.

  • what does chen zhi teaches????? i would suck his dick if he teaches me what he teaches to these freackin good girls

  • you're right but respect the music and use more formal way of expressing your feelings

  • i don't mind.....

  • the cooment above was written as a reply for another whinch was very rude so it seems that it has been deleted thas why my comment looks irrelevant

  • haha is that the meaning of your 69? Seriously watch your language..this is classical..not rap..haha

  • OMG this is far and away the BEST Koyunbaba rendition I've ever heard. Too bad the audio quality sucks. Anyone knows if this piece is available on one of her CD's?

  • Her treatment of the short harmonic passage (more allegro and even) is more compelling than other interpretations I have heard.

  • Twelve... is the luckiest number of all.

  • Xuefei Yang is amazing no doubt that, although this is not my favorite transcription of the piece, she does justice to the piece unlike others. But I have her album Si Ji (Four Seasons) which is simply amazing and makes up for any of her "faults" on this piece.

  • Looks like it was filmed and recorded using kerosene powered equipment. I suppose there'll be comparisons with Li Jie but they'll be invalid; these girls (along with Su Meng) transcend comparison; they are simply awesome. And so must be their teacher, Chen Zhi.
