with all due respect to the masters and their followers... why is it that no one current can write a "classical" piece..?? ..or am I missing something?
@frekijsimpson you are. haha :D it has plenty....i dont know anyone right now, i mean no name. but it has alot of guys.....i love female musicians....
ana vidovic,li jie,XueFei Yang... is girls better classic guitarists than boys ? boys were always better in everything... those girls are proving the contraire...
The classical pieces always have more comments than any other, and unfortunately, it's almost all snobby comments nit-picking this little thing, or that little thing. One has to wonder if the people nit picking the details can even play a kazoo, much less a classical guitar. PLEASE.... hush. Just enjoy the music, ... OR if 20 seconds into the video, you think another guitar player does the piece better... GO WATCH THEIR video.
the fourth movement is played differently from the actual sheet music... totally different, and if you're used to the original one, you would probably be dissapointed... or at least i am. :( the original is way better in my opinion.
i know, i just like the way the original is. i play the whole song totally different. and rarely play it the same way twice.
i dont expect everybody to like the way i play it, because its just the way i like it at the time... also, i like the way LiJie plays it in the other video, but thats just me
are you a very great master to say what interpretation is the Original one? youve seen/heard carlo domeniconi's interpretation? what do you mean original?
yes i am a very great master lol ive never even heard that expression. no i haven't heard carlo domeniconi's interpretation, but ive heard quite a few. what i mean by original is the chronology of the "sections" or parts, if you will, as written by domeniconi (well at least in my sheet music). also, im referring only to the fourth movement.
What do you mean? I would say that this would be about as close as you could possibly get to Li Jie's interpretation without actually being Li Jie. xXx
Domeniconi was born in italia but he lives in berlin but because Domeniconi's wife is turkish they go to turkey a lot. He became enamoured with turkish people and culture started the department for guitar studies at the conservatory in Istanbul and developed a compositional style that reflected the regional folk influence. there is a village called koyunbaba in turkey im not sure if its related to this song by the way koyunbaba means sheep-father / shepherd. just some info.
Li's version is way better quality-wise, the sound and video are much better which really adds to it. This version sounds just as technically solid (a bit faster, but that's just personal flavor) but doesn't have the sound and look of the other.
OMG this is far and away the BEST Koyunbaba rendition I've ever heard. Too bad the audio quality sucks. Anyone knows if this piece is available on one of her CD's?
Xuefei Yang is amazing no doubt that, although this is not my favorite transcription of the piece, she does justice to the piece unlike others. But I have her album Si Ji (Four Seasons) which is simply amazing and makes up for any of her "faults" on this piece.
Looks like it was filmed and recorded using kerosene powered equipment. I suppose there'll be comparisons with Li Jie but they'll be invalid; these girls (along with Su Meng) transcend comparison; they are simply awesome. And so must be their teacher, Chen Zhi.
she's awesome!

Everyone must listen to Antigoni Goni playing this piece .She is the GFA winner of 1995 .
It is to be found on a cd produced by Norbert Kraft ( Naxos ).Her timing and tone are flawless .A pity she not here on YT.

but Li Jie's verison recorded at 14 and she is 25now,i think Li can play even better now
