Is there a louder version out there? That mp3 is really artificially queited and there is a hiss added so you can;t turn it up anyway. I have the album the songs one by one do not have the hiss... it's like a bad analogue recording ... and the rain is a lot more clear on cd... what gives? May just have to make my own version in Audacity ...

I love these songs, and while the idea is good, it doesn't carry through all the way. Take the last two minutes for example: The overlapping lines are delivered out of sync, creating a pseudo-reverb effect that muddles everything he says- words which are, in my opinion, the most powerful lyrics in the whole song. Just my two cents.

The new Puscifer came out a few months back; most tunes are more melodic and less wacky than the original offerings from them - much of it sounds like A.P.C. with Maynard showcasing his voice.

You take 10,000 Days and on top of it you put Viginti Tres and Wings for Marie in sequence. If you add the duration of these 2 last songs, the sum matches perfectly the duration of 10,000. After all that alchemy you end up with a completely new track. So please Mr. Wolf so some research before you start blubbering about your high-end technology...

Maynard never acknowledged it being the fuck that he is, but after she died, he took upon her religion because he realized how he had treated her when she did nothing but love him. All in all, this is about Maynard's mother and himself. It's wonderful. :)

Maynard wrote this song about his mother who was paralyzed when he was young, she was confined to a wheel chair for 27 years (10,000 days), this song is for her. When I was 10 my mother had a stroke, she too was very religious... She is to this day in a wheelchair which is a brutal reality I see everyday. But when she dies.. I know that this song will bring me comfort and understanding. An unknowing gift from Maynard to me :)
