The DC 10 is my favorite jet. McDonnell-Douglas rushed the plane into production before adequate thought about the cargo doors and then pressured the FAA when a problem became apparent. A lot of people paid with their lives. The attempted skyjacking of FedEx 705 and the subsequent maneuvers by the pilot showed how strong and well engineered the air-frame is. A truly magnificent bird.

@menthol5 I almost fully agree with you, this is an amazing design that as a good wine has gotten better with age. The issue of the cargo door I blame mostly on the conflict between technological brilliance and Corporate stupidity, when MDD pressured the FAA into not issuing an Airworthiness directive to save money and they ended up ruining their own reputation. It's the same Corprate stupidity that refused a new wing for the MD11 which would have turned it into a winner...

@theborolad Its the exact same aircraft, if you listen in the biggening of the video he says that it was developed by Commercial Level Simulations (CLS), but he probably just bought it from Just Flight.

@TheSKCProductions The Boeing 727 could really do better in a review contest in real life. The DC-10 had so many accidents that modifications to make it safer made McDonnell-Douglas go bankrupt. They got bought by Boeing and Boeing fixed up the DC-10 and built the MD-11. This airplane, as far as I'm concerned, was a severe failure that cost MD their entire savings.

@ostry161616 you switch the VC on via the 2d panel. You can press atl to bring up a menu at the top (this is in-game) then go to views - instrument panel - icons

A small rectangular box should appear on the panel, click the VC button on it and you have your VC :) Im not sure why it was designed this way though.

Good video Cessna154, I have this add on but havent put it on my newly built RIG yet. I had it before but forgot how good it was. I just posted a new video from Heathrow to Frankfurt. Check it out and let me know what you think. The Overland A380 is a great plane to have.

Rate it a 6- if con's were fixed, I would rate it a 8 being a flite. I think their 747 is? better. Check that out before this. Hope this helps.

Just? some things knowing before purchasing.

Pro's- Good looking model, Sound except when outside cockpit plug your ears, relitively good feal to it, good fps

Con's- Red light in cockpit way to bright, no callouts (they have been fixed look in forums), thrust down runway (takeoff) too fast, when using sp2 virtual cockpit insturments have wierd refelction not sp1

Overall, nice easy aircraft to fly. Don't expect anything like pmdg or flight. This is flite afterall.

@mrrenz123456789 you have to right click, find the option to make a menu bar come up, and click on the top right button. also type in " just flight dc-10" and click on the 4th one. it should show a fedex dc-10. just watch the whole video. hopes this helps:)
