Very good thoughts. Just what i keep telling my wife, i have told so many friends and family to get ready be prepared. Most think I'm crazy and they laugh,so there blood is not on my hands they have been warned.

There is a good way to look at prepping. If you get high quality storable food, if you get tools and supplies, most of these things are stuff you can use if you go camping anyway. Many wont be able to get far away. prepare to survive where you are. probably wont be able to get out anyway. I will help others. The only folks I might not be able to help are people who have no skills for survival and nothing to bring with them. We all migh have to let them die.

Do everrthing you can for your children. Mine are grown, but all my prep includes prepping for them as well. Whether they know it or not is irrelevant.

Unless you haven't already, buy a shotgun. Nothing fancy, but at least a good pump like a Remington 870. Next, you want slugs, not walmart bird-shot. The cheapest I've found is from ammunition store dot com. A little over 600 bucks will get you a thousand rounds of slugs. Storing food is good, but you need to keep it for your family.

Good video! I had my wake up call this past March when the 9.0 hit here in Japan. I have 4 kiddos and my husband was deployed at the time and I was in the prepping mindset before, but it hit home hard when we lived through it and watched it all unfold. We are headed back to the states soon, and I am already planning on my first shopping trip! Stocking up!!!

Same here-LOL! My youngest will be 6 in November and I stocked on baby wipes. I also have a couple of boxes of depends on hand just in case I am stuck with a Senior Citizen. And don't get me started on toilet paper. I have at least 450 rolls!
