These are traditional moves, so some of them could be dangerous or worthless in a ring fight. So you guys should take these moves with a grain of salt.
Muay Thai fighters have conditioned limbs that could break the opponent while Wing Tsun fighters are good at dodging attacks, so they both are equal. Muay Thai specializes more in destroying the opponent and Wing Tsun specializes in pushing away or disabling opponents, so if you're trying to fight in a ring then Muay Thai is best, but if you're trying to just kick some ass then Wing Tsun is best, damn YouTube making it hard to type my whole statement -.-'

Muay Thai does have some difficulties but it even does better than other striking arts, against Jiujitsu vs. Muay Thai. Muay thai wins 1/3 of the time. Karate and TKD never win against Jiujitsu. I guess this is why MT is the #1 striking art in MMA. Prefered stand up.

Karate is a descendant of Kung Fu, but Karate is used in the marine corp. Not Kung Fu. Why? Because karate gets to the point. Wing Chun has many critics. and there are test that prove it is useless. There are none for Karate. It gets to the point, garbage in garbage out.

Different militaries use different things and they still work. Its not the style its the person and his training.

Thats not the same thing the Muay Thai fighter would need to set up the knee and clinch for more effective knees and pak sau would neutralise a clinch attempt. They could Chi Sao(Sticky Hands) them and the fight would be over from that point. The fact is the more experienced better fighter would win not the style, if you know the moves they can be applied in any situation

If someone extends two hands for the clinch they can have both hands shifted to the side and create an opening. Why would anyone fight in an elevator? Youd push all the buttons in a struggle and be stuck in there for an hour. Someone can push you to start a fight and create seperation. A back kick is strong enough to knock someone out and applicable in close quarters.

But many tkd gyms may have heavy bags, or do iron fist training, or take concepts from other arts. Not every dojo is a Mcdojo, even though there are a lot. tkd itself is rather new and i think has the right to be more flexible... but its gotten a rather bad name in the past 15 years. :(

By far the best example of old school mt if you will. MT is great it's all about using the hardest parts of your bode knee's elbows shins. I'd definitely agree with this guy. I've trained in Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do and one thing I noticed is that Tae Kwon Do doesn't utilize the kicks to the leg like Muay Thai does. Since Tae Kwon Do relies almost entirely on leg work, after you absorb so many kicks to the leg it's hard to keep up with a well-conditioned Muay Thai fighter. No disrespect to Tae Kwon Do at all. I did develop my ability to kick a lot by training in TKD but I'm more confident in Muay Thai.

@nickfingers i've studied tae kwon do for over ten years, and studied muay thai for about five. and wrestling for two years. tae kwon do is more of a sport than muay thai its infact an olypmic event. as someone who represented in the pan american games and olympic nationals. muay thai and tae kwon do are both great martial arts. just very different styles

@JaLomangino O.K. then look at The Marine Corp. They analyze what martial arts is the most affective. (Life and Death situations) Kung Fu was never one of them. Why it has unecessary movements. TKD is an outside fight. They took that out. Why most street fights are inside fights. They do not use BJJ, why it can not take multiple attackers. They do JJJ, because it is more suitable for a street fight. A Marine practices what is good in a real fight.TKD, Kung Fu, BJJ, are useless.

They practice whats practical in a war against weapons,while they wear gear. Plus Muay Boran would be more suited for war than Muay Thai. These arent for street fights these are for anti-weapon close quarters deathmatches. In MMA you take out the forms of the style thats why no movements are useless.

@JaLomangino Yes Kung Fu is probably the oldest Martial Art so is boxing, does that mean boxing is better than other martial arts. Boxing is very limited. It does not matter what is older. Karate is a descendant of Kung Fu, but Karate is used in the marine corp. Not Kung Fu. Why? Because karate gets to the point. Wing Chun has many critics. and there are test that prove it is useless. There are none for Karate. It gets to the point, garbage in garbage out.

It uses biomechanics and straightforward moves. Jeet Kune Do is a real MMA which i consider Kung Fu since the philosophies are based off of wing chun and because the name is cantonese. Different militaries use different things and they still work. Its not the style its the person and his training.

What militaries use are irrelevant because they do whats cost effective, they want something thats easy to learn the basics of than they just make their basics incredible along with their physical strength in the shortest time possible to deploy. @MrStathis77 With the back kick you just spin meet them close and push them away. A tiger knee? sounds like Street Fighter. Thats not the same thing the Muay Thai fighter would need to set up the knee and clinch for more effective knees and pak sau would neutralise a clinch attempt. They could Chi Sao(Sticky Hands) them and the fight would be over from that point. The fact is the more experienced better fighter would win not the style, if you know the moves they can be applied in any situation

A flying knee is also useless in close quarters fights. There are different styles of Muay Thai and there are styles that if a muay thai fighter hasnt seen wont know how to defend against. If someone extends two hands for the clinch they can have both hands shifted to the side and create an opening. Why would anyone fight in an elevator? Youd push all the buttons in a struggle and be stuck in there for an hour. Someone can push you to start a fight and create seperation. A back kick is strong enough to knock someone out and applicable in close quarters.

But many tkd gyms may have heavy bags, or do iron fist training, or take concepts from other arts. Not every dojo is a Mcdojo, even though there are a lot. tkd itself is rather new and i think has the right to be more flexible... but its gotten a rather bad name in the past 15 years. :(

By far the best example of old school mt if you will. MT is great it's all about using the hardest parts of your bode knee's elbows shins. This stuff is defiantly deadly to say it is like sport mt is a poor example. you can never under estimate another persons power. I'd definitely agree with this guy. I've trained in Muay Thai and Tae Kwon Do and one thing I noticed is that Tae Kwon Do doesn't utilize the kicks to the leg like Muay Thai does. Since Tae Kwon Do relies almost entirely on leg work, after you absorb so many kicks to the leg it's hard to keep up with a well-conditioned Muay Thai fighter. No disrespect to Tae Kwon Do at all. I did develop my ability to kick a lot by training in TKD but I'm more confident in Muay Thai.

The Thai and English tracks are superimposed about a quarter second apart. If this audio was in stereo, you could hear each track separately for what its supposed to sound like. Unfortunately, it's in mono which makes it a garbled mess.
