  • les Paroles :

    Yallah nzourou

    ya hamdouda salou ala nabina

ya banya (mes fils) sidi salou ala nabina

    sidi hamouda ya banya

  • the latin american have also roots from morocco because spain is mixed with moroccans from the early days. and spain occupited latin america. if u look close moroccans and latin americans looks very like eachother. therfor do they talk spanish in many countrys of america.

  • @dumnorkevi not even close buddy

  • the berbers have their ovn languige. this song is darija that comes from a mix of arabic, spanish, french, vestern african. the berbers like to say that they are not arabs but moroccan people is mixed and they are not 100 prosent arabs. im proud to be morrocan because you find everything u want in morocco a mix of cultures.

  • @dumnorkevi yeah thats true , but i thinkb that the berbers hates to say that they arabs because its the truth , and they are the native north africas .they exist in that area since ages ago . you can find them in MOROCCO . ALGERIA . LYBIA .NIGER . BOURKINAFASOU . MALI . SEWA IN EGYPT . TUNISIA AND CANARIAS

  • this is moroccan darija and some words come from the early slaves from the vestern of africa. and moroccan people talk arabic beecase the arabs took over morocco and spain for many years ago and now the morocans are muslims. thats the history.

  • GNAWA - mogador (essaouira) - Berber- Darija - african dialects- Morro-morocco- Africa

This is a 100/100 Moroccan Music. Type GNAWA.

  • there isnt a language called "African". ..this is a dialect of Berber...and before anyone mentions "afrikkan", that another language of itself. Much like there is no such language called "American"

  • Please stop racist/deviding each other & enjoy a good music Ya Allah Ya rahman Ya rahim we are all Human Khalas.

    Shugran for posting this vid.

  • "some african words but the majority is morrocan singing"

Thought Morocco was in Africa? So Moroccan words would be African? Dumb ass me.....anyway great shit!!!

  • i m moroccan and believe me i don-t understand them

  • @AhhCulo

But we don't speak the african , we speak arabic

  • lyrics is totally morrocan :D...Because the whole of GNAWA music is spiritual and integrate some african words but the majority is morrocan singing..You can type in youtube Hmida BOsso you gonna find the same thing like hassan hakmoun

  • You have no idea what Moroccan is or is not. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it less Moroccan. Not everything is sung in Darija.

  • @tubebunny7 i listen to this almost every day and this is sung in darija and gnawa is moroccan music. darija is mixed languige. the only ones that dont understand darija is the berber speaking. but its the same people its only because the arabisation. hes singing that we have to visit the building and its master allah and our messanger. mon zoro a sidi ya nabina. mon zoro sidi a mola allah ya bania. a mola allah allah.

  • you'r welcome brother

  • that white guy got some riddem

  • That's Yuval Gabay, later of Soul Coughing.

  • i love the intro! that was so kool ^.^

  • if you don't like this, then don't fucking listen to it. If you are commenting negatively on it, especially just to piss others off, then your fucking retarded.

  • Hassan is actually of Gnawa ethnicity which is actually a Bambara related group in North Africa famous for their musical traditions. Don't know where his helpers are from possibly America though. Know he was based in New York City for a long time.

  • is youtube really the place, people? digital battles convince nobody of nothing.......can anyone assist me with an actual music related question? for example, help me with the i.d. of the great guitar player with hassan in the clip?

    thanks

  • Muziqa2008, you idiot Galla! Who let you out in defence of the Arabs?

  • Ethiogizer, when I read your comment ..who let you .. out, I know you are for sure mentally ill. you think you are the one letting people what to say and what not to say. There you go you confirmed it you are mentally ill. i hope you get help. sorry I can't communicate as you are not mentally capable. good bye!!

  • to those of you who are reading a comment from the so called EthioGizzer, please understand that people like EthioGizzer are bad apples among the wonderful people of Ethiopia (always one can find hooligans) so all wonderful moroccan brother and sister please ignore the ignorant EthioGizzer. you see he lives in washington DC a difficult life in diaspora confused, bad jobs and racism from white americans and they try to take it out on Arabs! so forgive the poor soul full of hate.

  • im trying to discover more about the guitar player in this performance...he is exceptional....

  • He is rather good, isn't he? It's Hahn Rowe... he has a MySpace with more info.

  • Are you denying you are a dirty Arab? If then what are you? African? I never seen a Moroccan that didn't look like the dirty uncivilized Arabs from the Middle East.

But the guy in the video looks distinctly Ethiopian.

  • i c u son of bitch lookin for an answer for ur dilemma,,when arabs ruled over ur land,,they fucked ur mum to get a mix like this guy,,so dont b surprisin if u c such things,,better to say he is nubian,,i guess u r a fuckin flasha gay,,ok,,

  • Ethiogizzer, what is wrong with you ? I am an Ethiopian like you and I am sad to read my fellow Ethiopian like you give Ethiopians bad name. How do you feel if a white racist call you dirty niger? Where did you get your Ethiopian look by the way. Don't you think Ethiopians had some Arabic mix? Moroccans look Ethiopians because we are mixed with arabs long time ago!

  • EthioGizzer, i just have never seen anyone full of hate like you. but what makes someone like you to hate another race. your live must be very sad. to live a life full of hate must be a sad one. but I feel you must be mentaly ill. Because a healthy mind should have no room for hate. as an Ethiopian myself I recommend you to go and see a doctor. while on exile to have an illness called hate must make your life sad! i feel sorry for you truely

  • I thought Moroccan where dirty Arabs how come this guy looks Ethiopian? Can some one explain to me what is going on? He must be Ethiopian, I don't believe he is a dirty Arab!

  • Most Moroccans are Arab, Berber, and Negro mixed.

  • EthioGizzer, you are dirty Ethiopian. I am sorry, eventhough you are fellow Ethiopian i must tell others that among wonderful people there are dirty like you(asedabi). and you must be ugly Ethiopian too. Moroccans and Ethiopians are beautiful people . you are a lost ugly soul full of hatered. go and read History, get some Education. Ethiopians and Moroccans are mixed with arabs long time ago. that is fact you like it or not! Asedab durye!

  • EthioGizzer please don't bring your political correctness and your narrowmindedness to the Moroccan zone. Have a grip on yourself!

  • EthioGizzer go and find some bread to eat fucking hungry slave people morocco will stop to send alimenations and foods to your country fuckin dogs you have to thanks morocco if you know that they give to your mam foods

  • i`m not algerian!!!

  • moroccans have what you dont know they have respect........they have a rich culture , a culture if we compared with yours you well feel that you are nothing nothing

  • 1. You lack basic knowlege about Moroccan Ethnography. That explains why you thought that all Moroccans are "Arab". In fact, most are Amazigh, Arabs are a minority.

    2. You're a racist, and probably a troll.

    3. The greater majority of Ethiopians I know are neither racist nor internet trolls.

  • the besti just love it

  • I like the fact tha Hassan was young and damn knowing what he was doing! I consider the man a great artist and that is all!

  • Agreed 100%

  • Hassan at the beginning

Wait until you see what is going on right now! And what is going on after!

  • This is awesome...I remember when it aired and was blown away. The problem was I couldn't find this band for years.

  • Love how the drummer has a splash hanging from a cord. Very old school. To the guitarist, I would suggest cutting the ends off your strings, they look pretty messy. Otherwise, great job.
