@jdrogers1 well I dont remember if you can with this car becuse in real life it dose not have a cluch pedal. I dont think I was using the cluch for this vid, I dont remember its been awhille since I played GT5P.

In the demo of GT5P you can only change your tire types and no other setting like camber and stuff so its basicly impossible to have a good tire setup for the hole track for the fast turns and slow ones. Thats why at the end of the vid the diff turns I was going on the grass on the inside becuse the tires have to much grip for them parts.
Ok u can do a nice DRIFT on one corner. Make a video with real time DRIFT through whole track. If you practicing one corner over and over again, its obvieous that you will be doing it perfect. And what about the rest ??

GT5 P is a sim and Forza is not full sim so can't compare and on physics GT5 rapes Forza...even PGR4 is more fun tan Forza and i preffer to play GT4 tan Forza 2 because is better.

seriously though, I have all the GT games and both forza games. with forza you can have a l.s.d. unlike gran turismo, set it to max and still not spin around(drive in a circle with smoke..how sim like is that?right, GT is good and seems realistic til the tires start spinning, then its down the crapper. =p also the best sim games have telemetry there boss
ok your comparing GT4 made in 2004 vs alot newer froza. but anyway yes the old GT's were just made strictly racing not drifting and didnt have a simulation setting so they had to pick a balace for the die hard's and kids. so big deal the game was not made for that stuff back then. GT5P dose not have any LSD setting but Im sure when the full game comes out it will. any who GT5 and GT5P is full sim, racing online in expert with my viper I cant take any turn full throttle or it will spinout.
Playseat evo its like $300 the seat dose not have a holder for the shifter so you have to rig something up like I did and put a small table close by or you can by the Gear shift holder from playseats for about another $40. They dont sell the gear holder on amazon so you have to look around.

You will find the traction you get in games like PGR very.... silly. Gran Turismo, altho the traction feels a lil dull, is the closest thing out there to real life, altho they say LFS is, which I can't confirm because I haven't played it. No other games come even close. Well.. there are some decent ones on the PC
And just cos PGR doesnt say its a sim doesnt mean its not realistic. Another driving game that handled good was the original need for speed way back in 95. Dont make em like that anymore.

Well i drive real cars and so do my mates n none of us think GT is realistic. As i said not being able to do donuts? and trying to do a handbrake turn is just as bad. Im pretty good at handbrake turns in real life so i know wot they are like. Wot happens in GT when ur in a corner in a rear wheel drive car, ur understeering slightly, so u drop it down a gear slam on the power, the back should snap out, u fight to control it, playing with the power but no that doesnt happen. GT5P (us+uk) and GT5 has a drift mode for all your drifting needs. (with online ranking and you can watch the replay of the top 5 in each catagory in GT HD) and it sounds like you judging on GT4 or older yes those were just about racing. but now they see the need for more realism and are delivering it.
a game judging what it thinks is style on a solo run and ppl judging you during tandem runs are 2 diff things but your so awesome you must of known, having been in Tandem battles i do know 1st hand
Yeah i had all thr gran turismo's so of course i played about with all the traction settings, im not dumb! When i played PGR and went back to gran turismo i just wasnt finding it fun anymore, wasnt getting the same satisfaction.

wot i wanna know is have they FINALLY sorted the handling out? In previous GT's it wanted u to take perfect lines n drive properly n it wudnt let u chuck the car about like in gotham, the car wudnt step out u couldnt fight with it and play with the power n light up the wheels n do donuts. No it didnt like u doing donuts, and they called it the real driving simulator, also mclaren SLR understeering at 30mph very unrealistic.
yes the new GT5P is better then gt4 as you can see you can drift. but its not fake drifting like all them other games that are for kids that make it easy. Also in all the GT's you have to "set the game up" go in the options and if you have a wheel set it to simulation and turn off active steering. as for your SLR problem Im not sure exactly what you mean but if you have on the trac control and stabiltiy contol it will change the handling.
I have the same logitech gt25 steering wheel and also the sam playseat!!! One question: does the clutch finally work in gt5 prologue?? I don't know because the game will be releassed on friday. Nice tv and nice drifting by the way.
the cluch dose work in GT5P (japan version) it dose not work with the (japan) prologue demo. I would think the cluch will work for the us and uk version of prologue I dont see why it wouldnt. but if they come out with a demo for us+uk it might not work just like the japan demo.
Cool I realy like the TV but kinda think I should have gone with the 55 or 50in. yep its a dying type of tv's it seems like sony stoped makeing them. I cant wait until OLED tv's get all the kinks worked out of them. its too bad it will take years for that.
logitech is making a new wheel for GT5 its a new driving force GT racing wheel for $150 but it dose not have a six speed shifter. G25 is $250 - $300 check out

You've got a point hahaha BUT I'm talking about gameplay more so than just graphics. No doubt PS3 will have better graphics (and twice as many cars in the race, which is really fucking tight). But I don't know I liked F2 better than GT4.

Forza 2 is over a year old...GT5 isnt even out yet...Wait till Forza 3 comes out, it will beat GT5. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the GT series...I was a GT fanboy till I played Forza 2 (since I got a 360 instead of PS3) and I love it! More so than GT4...

That's exactly why I'm saying Forza 2 is better than GT4, and why GT5 is better than Forza 2. I personally like Forza 2 better BECAUSE of the customization and the crash damage. Half the fun of the game is making a nice looking car, and going head on with another car at 150 mph and seeing what it does to your engine, brakes, suspension, transmission, etc...

well in manual you have more contol in knowing what gear you in and can stay in that gear for the whole drift and shift if needed in auto you cant contol so it may shift on you and cause probs, Im sure it can be done, what tires you use is a big factor
also high speed drifting is extremely hard and seems like for every turn you need a diff tire setup to drift it. thats why mostly what you see on my vid is the hair pin. so dont feel bad if you cant drift it becuse its not easy with these cars that arnt set up for drifting
well smoke depending oh how its rendered takes up alot up cpu power. also this is a sim game so smoke is not important. in my eye im glad they spent more time on everything else then smoke. only time you see it is when you drift or crash, when your driving it with in car view you dont look at it anyway
this is the demo of prologue and the clutch dose not work in the demo. It dose work in the prologue game but I dont have the game, it has not been released in the usa but there are ways to get the japan version.
I own'd a sentra SE-R(now sold), spent $200 per tire every year. no where to race,no one to race with,fear of killing your car,$ for gas. limmited to driving what your able to spend on cars. PS3 1st came out $599(now like $399), G25 $250, playseat $200, Tv more uses then games $2600. Can drive alot of cars, no cost of ownership, many tracks, soon online racing, driving cars I will never be able to even see in real life (priceless)
For gaming get a PS3, for everything else get a debit card

Yeah i had all thr gran turismo's so of course i played about with all the traction settings, im not dumb! When i played PGR and went back to gran turismo i just wasnt finding it fun anymore, wasnt getting the same satisfaction.

thats becuse PGR isnt as sim like GT like lets say a game a bout fighting. one game is just like real life. other has magic, spells, summon things. some would find that fun more then the sim game.

wot i wanna know is have they FINALLY sorted the handling out? In previous GT's it wanted u to take perfect lines n drive properly n it wudnt let u chuck the car about like in gotham, the car wudnt step out u couldnt fight with it and play with the power n light up the wheels n do donuts. No it didnt like u doing donuts, and they called it the real driving simulator, also mclaren SLR understeering at 30mph very unrealistic.

yes the new GT5P is better then gt4 as you can see you can drift. but its not fake drifting like all them other games that are for kids that make it easy. Also in all the GT's you have to "set the game up" go in the options and if you have a wheel set it to simulation and turn off active steering. as for your SLR problem Im not sure exactly what you mean but if you have on the trac control and stabiltiy contol it will change the handling.

I have the same logitech gt25 steering wheel and also the sam playseat!!! One question: does the clutch finally work in gt5 prologue?? I don't know because the game will be releassed on friday. Nice tv and nice drifting by the way.

the cluch dose work in GT5P (japan version) it dose not work with the (japan) prologue demo. I would think the cluch will work for the us and uk version of prologue I dont see why it wouldnt. but if they come out with a demo for us+uk it might not work just like the japan demo.

Cool I realy like the TV but kinda think I should have gone with the 55 or 50in. yep its a dying type of tv's it seems like sony stoped makeing them. I cant wait until OLED tv's get all the kinks worked out of them. its too bad it will take years for that.

check out my 1st vid in my favorites of gt5 vs forza 2. and forza 3 will not have the quality of gt5 becuse for them to do that they would have to make the game from scratch and the cars would look so junky cus the x-box dont have the power the ps3 has. remember 16 cars, high quality 1080p @ 60 fps

You've got a point hahaha BUT I'm talking about gameplay more so than just graphics. No doubt PS3 will have better graphics (and twice as many cars in the race, which is really fucking tight). But I don't know I liked F2 better than GT4.

I like racing and alot of cars becuse thats the point of a racing game. but if you realy think forza 3 is going to beat GT5 in physics and game play your wrong. becuse it comes down to choice of the person. forza will have the looks but lots of peeps using controlers and hiting cars at 150mph and getting a little scratch. the true sim is GT5

Forza 2 is over a year old...GT5 isnt even out yet...Wait till Forza 3 comes out, it will beat GT5. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the GT series...I was a GT fanboy till I played Forza 2 (since I got a 360 instead of PS3) and I love it! More so than GT4...

That's exactly why I'm saying Forza 2 is better than GT4, and why GT5 is better than Forza 2. I personally like Forza 2 better BECAUSE of the customization and the crash damage. Half the fun of the game is making a nice looking car, and going head on with another car at 150 mph and seeing what it does to your engine, brakes, suspension, transmission, etc...

well im glad you like that but my personality is all about performance, I could care less about looks and stickers, and damage is for bad drivers I dont hit stuff so whats the point of taking away the quality of the game for damage. you make your self sound like a kid wanting to watch fireworks but insted 2 cars run into each other. but any way lets just let time tell. come back here in a year when GT5 comes out and we can chat.

well in manual you have more contol in knowing what gear you in and can stay in that gear for the whole drift and shift if needed in auto you cant contol so it may shift on you and cause probs, Im sure it can be done, what tires you use is a big factor

also high speed drifting is extremely hard and seems like for every turn you need a diff tire setup to drift it. thats why mostly what you see on my vid is the hair pin. so dont feel bad if you cant drift it becuse its not easy with these cars that arnt set up for drifting

well smoke depending oh how its rendered takes up alot up cpu power. also this is a sim game so smoke is not important. in my eye im glad they spent more time on everything else then smoke. only time you see it is when you drift or crash, when your driving it with in car view you dont look at it anyway

I own'd a sentra SE-R(now sold), spent $200 per tire every year. no where to race,no one to race with,fear of killing your car,$ for gas. limmited to driving what your able to spend on cars. PS3 1st came out $599(now like $399), G25 $250, playseat $200, Tv more uses then games $2600. Can drive alot of cars, no cost of ownership, many tracks, soon online racing, driving cars I will never be able to even see in real life (priceless)
For gaming get a PS3, for everything else get a debit card

S1 R3 tires make sure you have all the setings for simulation.(options, wheel setup screen) and all aids off.
