The only Death Metal band i really like is Cannibal Corpse, because they don't take themselves that seriously! Black and Death bands take themselves way too seriously, they just look like idiots and if you think they look cool you are one too.

I'll be the first to admit a lot of bands take their image too seriously, but I mean, come on! Why would I wanna go to a show where the band is wearing ballcaps and t-shirts? BORING!!! I wanna see blood sharp metal spikes everywhere! Cannibal Corpse kick ass, no doubt, because they're professionals. But I like a band that truly honestly means what they say, as well. It's not for money or fans, it's just a release for them. Death metal says "FUCK YOU" and black metal says "FUCK EVERYTHING"

Thing about Black Metal bands is that they're extremely passionate in their views, which is good yet it kinda sucks that they go for the easy stuff like anti-christian lyrics and calling heaven a lie, they oughta stick to pagan history and the art of war like Bathory did, or even Ragnarok

Death is probably the only one equalling Thrash Metal, because they pioneered Death Metal whilst incorporating ALOT of thrash elements (Scream Bloody Gore, anyone?).
