But instead of biting the bullet at the time and making budget cuts then the repubs caved in and went with Dems to agree that if they couldn't cut 1.2 trillion over ten years by Thanksgiving the military would automatically have their budget cut by 500 billion in 2013. Any business experiencing record profits expands, which means HIRING. You do not get record profits without hiring more people. And consumer confidence has been flat-lined for two years, which is another indication you are speaking of certain companies but not aggregate. The economy right now does not support your claim.

His Keynesian economics is nothing but pyrite. What it's doing is keeping things in check but not providing for consumer spending, borrowing, and growth. It gives the illusion of economic stability when we are anything but.

@12salem The fact is the rich in this country, and I am not one of them, pay the most when it comes to taxes and I am talking in total and by percentage of gross income. Almost half this country pays no FIT whatsoever. As far as I'm concerned, the rich are providing the capital to keep most of the welfare and social programs alive and yet are being vilified by Obama, who has proven he is either incompetent or deliberately trying to hurt the American economy.
