  • is the motor and stuff waterproof?

  • the motors aren't-but you can run them underwater and as long as they are turning its not an issue. the rest of the electronics are up at the highest point, out of harmsm way.

  • no my 21 year old origional clodbuster can not do this. but my 2008 traxxas e maxx can do twice that.

  • totally agree... my 3905 Maxx with a pair of 5000's and locked diffs would own it... check out my video of a pair of maxx's raging..

  • Yes my Clodbuster can do this without problems :P

  • you know you might be the 1st person to actually answer the question.. rock on..

  • Yea my Clod Buster gets stuck in the snow too. lol

Great vid thoug. Love this trucks from Tamiya

  • What all did you do to change the Clodbuster into this much more realistic monster truck? I always upgraded everything except the chasis. I used the old rienforcement braces. Seening a tubular chassis is intriguing.

  • best part is at 2:20-2:30. Get some chains on the back and you'd never get stuck. BTW your wheel base looks longer than stock, is it?

  • the chassis is a clodzilla 2 or 3, so yes it is longer. as for the chains...he(my buddy) didn't buy enough links to do all 4 , so just the front.. but i totally agree.. finally got my own clod(orig. stock), can't wait till i go ballistic like these guys..

  • LOL, bro I think your clodbuster is the only one that can do that!! lol

  • Woah! |This vid is so cool it snowed!

    Love the Clod. B-)

    5/5

  • yes, my 20 year old clodbuster before they had ball bearings can do that only a lot better.

  • Props for having one for so long. As for being better , seeing is believing....lets see some video.

  • bye ec that takes me back when we had snow never mind my clodbuster running lol but mine handled snow quite good and had no diff locked standerd motors it used to eat battries in snow but great fun

  • do you have any upgrades for your clod that allows it to drive well in the snow or is it all stock?

  • forthis clod this is wta we did-lock the diffs(frt/rr) and remove or lock-out the rear steering. the snow chains helped ALOT. but really thats it... we were running 2 batteries and some high torque motors to finish it off. i will tell you, having an aftermarket chassis that gives more clearance is a big step in itself..

  • And where do you get this after market chasis?

  • new ero makes some nice chassis options, but honestly, for the best variety of choices just go on to ebay and type in clod chassis..good luck

  • do you have a other clodbuster i can bye

  • sorry, no. clods are worth more now than ever. even if i wanted to sell this one, i would ask more than anyone would pay. thanks anyway..

  • You can get a superclodbuster(same a regualar except colors) on tower hobbies for $200,plus electronics.

  • theres a clodbuster on ebay

  • hi do you want to sale your clodbuster

  • sell clod?.... this one.? sorry no...

  • My E-maxx can do that!

  • 1st of all, this was about 8 years ago, there was no E-Maxx. 2nd, a live axle clod with regular diffs like his one might be a match for your maxx. if this one had locked diffs, your E-maxx would not stand a chance.

  • thats why you lock the diffs in an e-maxx cause if you dont their peices of shit

trust me i have one and its nothing compared to a clodbuster axle even though i do love how independent suspension never really gets hung up on rocks

  • don't get me wrong, the e-maxx has come along way, especially with the new waterproof system. i have a maxx and its great for bashing. hard to compare , independant or live axle. any full size crawler would have to have solid axles just to survive.

  • yea i like the idea of the solid axle because you dont have to worrie about breaking anything

  • You mean like the driveshaft I broke at the dogbone joint while trying to climb a snow mound? lol

    -Eric

  • lol

well ive never ran mine truck in snow soo..

    it doesnt snow here :(

  • just wondering are you running that brushless?

  • no, just some very good brushed motors..

  • my stampede wouldnt do this im sure but my ax10 will!

  • no doubt about that...

  • my buggy can do this just barely....cause it has rear wheel drive....only way mine is able to get through was cause of the lift kit..nice vid

  • Nice Video man. Hey, Im thinking about building a custom clodbuster from scratch. Can you tell me what kind of chassis that truck has? It is a 4 link suspension right? If you could respond to these comments it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Slow mo really brings out the lifelike action.

  • tht s so ammazng- ii wish i hhad ttht-

    all tht snow #

    haha!

  • just serch r/c crawler and buy a rig they r really fun i got one they can pretty much do anything a real rig can its just one tenth the size

  • Very nice movie! :D MAkes me want a Clod Buster too :P what chassi was that? it doesn't look like a stock clod :) it was very fast thought and went very good in the snow :D

  • i think this one is a clodzilla 3 chassis

  • sux when u burn up the esc, $70+ later. ive been there... twice lol. Driving my B3 buggy in the snow then in a puddle by accident.

    ___Shawn

  • Yes, many times... I went to school in Michigan's upper peninsula for 5 years. the snow is why I built my first clod

  • Nice, i have a savage 25, but im not gunna do that with it cuz i dont know how to water seal it

  • put a balloon around the servos and grease the horn on top and seal the recever box in a balloon and there you have it ;)

  • I've done that before with my zilla 3 clod. It's awesome. Mine isn't as fast though :p That thing hauls butt for a clodbuster.

    -Eric

  • what motors

  • to be hoenst i have no idea. all i know is 1 of them was reversed. it was about 4 inches of fresh snow on top of about 6 inches. i was way more fun than it looked..

  • slow for me me using a 4.6 ss savage(no x:()

totally sealed for water and i dont stuck anytime i bought paddle tire set;)

  • to slow

  • dude that camera sucks

  • i was gonna call it " watch the whole thing and when your done, remark on the camera", but i thought that would just be rude. thanx anyway..

  • That's awesome! I always wanted to drive mine in the snow but ruined one that way. I'm sure yours is waterproof which rocks. Are those chains on the front? If so awesome and how did you get/make them?

  • they are chains, its a small fugure 8 link found at any hardware store..

  • cool! good idea. thanks

  • I tried the same with my lunchbox - but with a completely different effect! i stuck at the beginning. ;-)

  • which motors do you use?

  • I used to have a Tamiya Boomerang, but dont know if it could go that well in the snow though. Nice Video..

  • boomerangs are great, real fast, i got a clod as well, try driving over a boomerang with a clod!!
