I was at a faire and I got a gift of some money. I ran around at the last minute looking for someplace to spend it becasue everyone was closing up shop and I saw a very pretty drum jsut about to be packed and so I bought it. I like it becasue it seems so simple yet you can create such dynamic out of it. I am not a belly dancer.

I'm trying to learn to play doumbek too. Haven't been able to find a teacher in western NY. Are you learning split finger from books, video's or something else?
