Can anyone help me find a track I think is by Gemini called Soul ( original Mix ) ... i just heard it at a party for first time... DJ said it was a classic... and it was a mother of a tune... is it this Gemini??
man i come across this record 7 years ago , bought it second hand !!!! what an amazing record !!!! it captures the essence o house music ... just beautiful!!! gemini is tha man...
A mate and i brought Spencer out to South Africa, just before he disapeard. He stayed with us for over 2 weeks. It was a amazing one of the best DJ's i have ever heard. When he was here there was def something wrong as he kept saying people were conspiring against him and out to get him etc and he was really bitter about what happened over at guidance. Spencer inspired my love for house music and i really hope he is ok.
I remember Spencer back in San Francisco Days in the late nineties..Heard him play a wicked set at Jelly"s near the water..mission rock ..have partied with him at the End Up..We got on great..I hope he's doing alright ...from the Irish crew
I have met Spencer and even bought his old Ensoniq EPS from him. He was around Dallas for minute in the late 90's and No he didn't have mental issues and he wasn't homeless, and I seriously doubt he is either now.
Spencer Kinsey, AKA Gemini, was responsible for some of the freakiest beats to come out of the Windy City throughout the '90s, and as a DJ, provided inspiration for Sneak, Derrick Carter and many others. Rumoured to be homeless, possibly with serious mental health problems, his whereabouts are the subject of much internet speculation. But no one, including his old buddy Sneak, has any idea where he's gone.
