hey say if you didnt put aftermarket front end on it and you still had shock towers and factory front end how would u would have put the 351 in there with the shock towers in the way?
@krayjackson thats a good ?. I'm not sure, but I'm told that a "cleveland" would "fit" if you keep the stock exhaust manifolds. I doubt it, but when I run into clearance problems... I notch and box. there is a bit of room between the towers and springs to do some clearancing. maybe ask "falcon8r", he's got a freakin 460 in his, maybe a mustang 2 front end. let me know if ya find out for sure. All I know is nothing is ever as easy as it sounds.
thanks for watching. axle and spring kit from speedway motors, part # 916-39031, includes mt. hardware and requires welding the tube to the saddles. does NOT include spindles and brakes.
its gonna be sweet man. nice, nice ride. ive got a '65 mustang coupe, and my stepdad has a '61 falcon sedan delivery in amazing condition. anyone else here have any idea where i can find info on those sedan deliveries?
Howdy friend !! Hey im restoring that old bird, its only and daily car, so i dont want to have that blue flashing lights behind me everyday... i mean, they are cops, what can i pretend ?? hahahha.. but well im trying to find a nice ford from the fifties to buil a nice top chop street rod, but here its imposible to find American cars... if you want to see the restoring proces im uploading a video so check it !! GOOD LUCK
Thanks! Your right, I should have also slid the cleveland back about a foot (cleveland should have been an FE) also left the leaves in the back (love my home made four link with afco coil overs, not correct) need a reverse tear drop scoop and a whole lot more I didn't do but what can I say, woulda, coulda, shoulda. Just remember,a hot rod is never done, right?
Yep, know what ya mean! Cool car though, post some pics when you're done!? I'll be posting some straight axle cars soon when the weather breaks here in Md. Burn rubber and prosper!

Absolutely cool car! Falcons make neat gassers! To be era correct, trade the Centerlines for Cragars, Americans, even chrome reverses! Tuff looking!

You must be building a gasser style. The solid front and leaf springs-just the oppisite of my 61-in the weeds low. Keep the vids coming.
falcon8r 3 years ago
Yep, a street gasser that gets some track time. She rides like a brick but hooks and tracks well. would like to see your "low" 61.
