Dick Button is the first skater in history to land a triple jump in competition - the triple loop in the 1952 Olympics. He also landed the first ever double axel, was the first to do a camel spin, and had several other firsts. So yes, Dick Button has "turned" a triple jump.
You can tell her skating style does not please Dick Button. He likes classical, traditional. I don't think his criticism of her jumps is warranted, though. What does he mean they don't go up? They go up enough for her to complete the revolutions and land them!
@dylanvalente Not correct. Button likes innovation -- and a balance of technique, and artistry based upon technique. For examples watch Michelle Kwan's 1996 Nationals and Worlds exhibition skates to "East of Eden" -- and listen to Button's commentary. And -- especially -- his comments on Kwan's gorgeous 1998 Keri Lotion skate to "Dante's Prayer".
I mean this is just a sloppy mess....why are people actually trying to defend her...HOT MESS!!!!

@dylanvalente If you listen to Dick's commentary on Stephanie Rosendahl, you'll realize he's quite open...
