WOW! Now I know you are one of my absolute favorites. I saw Sufjan Stevens not long ago in the Bay Area, and have been following him for quite a while! Then when I saw you in SF 2/11/22, you knocked my socks off! I feel so lucky to have seen you and while I admit I was there to see Tina Dico, I now would make the trip to see YOU headline. Piano is out of tune. Intro was 45 seconds, which is 40 seconds too long. Pianist is not a piano player. Chords in left hand are dragging the song down painfully. Lagging tempo is stalling lyrical development from one line to the next. Marius

You forgot to mention whether or not the glass and the records on percussion were properly executed to your standards. I'm surprised you didn't deconstruct the lighting quality and the piano player's facial hair choices. Your critique did not contain complete sentences. w0smith

Have you heard the original? The intro is roughly 45 seconds. I didn't put a metronome to the cover, but I don't feel a slow down. In my opinion, this is a very nice cover, and in the original the lyrics are sung this way.

There are also many top 40 hits over the years that have longer intros than this.

Umm.. I guess you're expressing your distaste for Neil Young? Well... you can say what you will about his voice or singing ability, but at his peak he was a fucking brilliant song writer. If you disagree, your opinion is invalid to me... but that's ok.

I don't know why anyone would have a major distaste for Neil Young. While I don't find every one of his songs gold, I do think he's a very good song writer and he makes you think. Plus, what's wrong with his singing? It's a signiture of his songs and that's one of the reasons people like listening to his music.

Oh, I've heard his music alright - all my life since my dad first strummed it to me on his guitar. The man is prolific. There's no doubt he's created a lot of music that simply isn't that good, but that doesn't cancel out his truly great work. Other musicians across the board respect Neil Young. Off the top of my head -- Thom Yorke is one of his biggest fans, enough said.

There's nothing wrong with scratches, they add character to the guitar..although I have to say that as my guitar has a satin finish and it is impossible not to scratch it..

Great cover, with the exception of the organ. I've never heard the original, so I'm not sure what it's supposed to sound like, but the organ in this sounds brutal.. It's off key just the perfect amount to create a tension chord, and it's just awful.
