  • MMMy first encounter with the Korn Kobblers.

Marvellous. Terrific version. The female impersonator has a marvellous relationship with the camera/us.

    A favourite. Obviously.

  • Kynoceph, Great Fun! Thanks for posting it.

    Regards, J.

  • The Korn Kobblers, under the direction of Stan Fritts, filmed a lot of these "Soundies" (short films seen in coin-operated "juke box" projection units) - this one is from 1941- and they're usually compared to Spike Jones & His City Slickers...they both appeared on the music scene at the same time.

  • Great - I love this stuff!

This was a tune that Ukelele Ike (Cliff Edwards) did also!

    RagJazzMonkey

    Tom Warner

  • Could that bride be William Frawley? Fred Mertz of "I Love Lucy" fame? I second dryad271's question: Where did you get these? Thank you very much for sharing, kynoceph! They are treasures.

  • I think it looks like Stan Fritz, the 'leader' of the co-operative group. Comparing mouths was my method.
