Its funny tho, I had no idea back then that there were so many bands that I would love. I went thru middle/high school listening to the get up kids, jimmy eat world and a few others. I blame going to a small school, where everyone listened to hip hop and top 40's or whatever... there was no alternative scene, accept maybe a few kids. but they were all so god-damned anti social and awkward, there was no community. Maybe I'll go write an emo song about that.. LOL :p

there is this great band I stumbled upon called "My Hotel Year" (like the atari's song). Their album "The Composition of Ending and Phrasing" has become one of my all time favorite emo albums, right next to TGUK's "Something to Write Home About".  Good stuff, try to find it :) peace
