@estyron27858 Nothing is wrong with being big or skinny with bellydancing..but as with the style of dancing it looks better if somebody has a little meat to shake. Even the goddess size women if done correctly can look amazing.

Which for the ignorant ppl out there means that it is Half hip-hop half bellydance. They had outward fig. 8's. Undulations. Snake arms. Polynisians and upper rolls. Which r BD moves. yea i agree with you totally. Im wanting to teach authentic belly dance sometime soon, they shouldnt have called it belly dance though youre right, they shouldve just called it a hip hop routine. I only seen like three moves out of the entire thing that were actual belly dance.

Hey girls, I truly understnad what you are trying to do also but I'd definitely say, put bellydance last in your description of it. It was very 'stripper' like (but I guess you can thank the PCD for that). I also agree that I didn't see much bellydance technique in there just grinding and stuff. But again.. Hi ladies, I get what you're doing and think you did great. I am from the Caribbean from a mixed heritage, I automatically combine my 'bellydance' with my 'island dance', so hip hop fushion I understand. Yes, part of that mixed heritage is from the 'east' and I learned bellydance from my mom as well as training, and I again I think everyone missed the fact that you were doing FUSHION and you did it well!

It dosn't look like you use any technique related to belly dance. It looks more like you just watched a belly dance DVD or two and took some ideas rather then taking a class. A lot of you chest lifts seem like you use your back and breath to push up rather then you abs.
Learn how to READ. It says fusion, which indicates it's PART bellydance, part hip hop. You can't deny the hip, rib, & arm movements obviously taken from bellydancing. You genre nazis need to take a laxative and get over yourselves. You gunna tell bellyqueen and unmata they're not BD either?
You two are fantastic, don't listen to the rest. They can't even give suggestions, so they probably don't know what they're talking about.
If you get the chance, try Amy Sigil's workshops, you'd like it.
Well, it is indeed fusion although I would have preferred a more balanced mix of both dance style. Also I think you guys could have pushed with more complex techniques, movements layering and formation but on the whole it is still a nice effort. I like the tasteful costuming & understated dance style because I have seen some real horrors when they do fusion. Sometimes less is more. Good effort!

I liked this because you kept the composure of bellydancers or at least that of a trained dancer rather that getting the 'porn face' or really 'ghetto booty' moves. You didn't get too dirty with it. AND...most importantly your dance fit the music...if you did this to middle Eastern music it would be terrible! Its Great...yes I want the music! I love that song!
