You need to stand up in mid-air to be able to let the door open. For some reason the door doesn't open when you're crouched. You need to crouch over the raised platform, stand up in mid-air to open the door and crouch again to avoid hitting the roof of the elevator.

Yea I tried that already, but i guess i gotta be standing up when going through the emancipation grill. Then crouch :D

That elevator door doesnt seem to open when I shoot through the emancipation grill, mabie im too far up...

It's confusing, you need to be standing when you go through it, which means you need to crouch, stand up in mid-air, then crouch again to get into the elevator. It takes a few tries :P

it is easy to one step out of the elevator , just save at the level start (before elevator opens) then load a save and while loading it jump ! but that jump into the exit is hard -_- i can only get 5 steps :)
