  • good info, music so loud though i could barely hear him :(

  • @GeebungOldSpice Thank you for your feedback. This was one of our earliest videos, so we were just getting our feet wet, so to speak, on editing and production. We're by no means experts now, but we're getting better! :-) Please let us know if you have any specific questions. We'd be happy to address any inquiries you may have about BioPellet reactors or media.

  • What size pump do you reccomend and what size pellets thanks

  • @flychef11 The size pump and pellets depends on the aquarium. In most cases, you would use 100 ml of pellets per 100 L (approx 25 gallons). As for the pump, for a Phosban 150 reactor, like the one used in the video, a Maxijet 1200 would be ideal. For larger reactors, you may want to consider anoher pump.

  • Does the screen come with the reactor?

  • @zacguitarshreder12 If you purchase the NPX Bioplastics Reactor, the screen is included. If you're converting a Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor into a Bioplastic Reactor, you'll need to purchase the screen separately. We sell 2 for $2.49. We can't paste a link into a comment here on YouTube, but if you do a Google search for the item # -- TL54853 -- you should be able to see it. Let us know if you have any additional questions! You can also call us at 1-800-566-FISH (3474).

  • I found the screen at a sewing store here in town for like 2.00$ for 10.They are called knitting gaurds :)

  • @VitalApparatuz Ha! Nicely done.

  • what the different between the tlf bioplastical and the Brightwell Katalyst?

  • @zangiamit91 The Brightwell Katalyst media is very similar to “Bio-Plastics” and is basically the same media distributed by a different company. We haven't experienced a particular advantage by using one product over the other. Both are organic carbon sources designed to colonize bacteria--resulting in low nutrient water, free of phosphates and nitrates.

  • Where did you get the little screen to take the place of the bottom sponge? Mine arent tumbling they are just being pushed to the top of the reactor.Thanks.

  • @VitalApparatuz Do a Google search for TL54853 (we can't post a link into the comment section). Our site should be near the top. You can purchase the NPX screen separately for $2.49. The instructions say to bend the screen then cut a small hole (like in the video). That should help prevent Bio Pellets from being pushed to the top of the reactor.

  • @MarineDepotVideos Thank you so much for the quick reply!

  • @VitalApparatuz You're very welcome. Ask us a question any time!

  • hi i was wondereing what kind of pump you were using for the two fishes phos reactor

  • @marbledcatshark The pump used in the video is a Maxi-Jet 600. Search AS1113 on our website to learn more about it!

  • Hi matman377! We removed carbon from this system as well as the center tray. You could remove the center tray in your system and place a bag of carbon in the center compartment.

  • I have the exact same setup with the JBJ 28g LED, Aquamaxx HOB-1 and phosban 150 reactor. I would like to know if and how how you managed to put activated carbon on the system as we need to remove the media basket.
