  • THE CAMEL WORE A NIGHTY

  • Captain ahoy!

  • RIP Captain Beefheart!

  • blue jeans and moonbeams album by Captain Beefhart?

  • Captain Beefheart.

  • hot damn that mr.white can pluck them strings.

  • This was also released in an extended version with 2 other songs with it. Any one familiar with it? What album was' woe is a me bop on?"

  • who is this a cover of? you can also get a great live video of this on itunes (blue orchid/party of special things to do).

  • Captain Beefheart

  • Captain Beefheart

  • Where can i get this cover?!?! ive looked everywhere on the internet and i cant find it.....

  • you have to buy some proper expensive b-sides record

i wouldnt bother personally-you can download it off zamzar

  • If you want it then download that freeyoutube to mp3 thingy n copy n paste the link thats what i do XD

  • the best part of this song to me is when everything comes rushing in right after he says "i've got a brand new game i wanna lay on you". (1:25)

  • This does sound like Hip-Hop and there's nothing wrong with that. I think the melody has been used in a few songs but regardless, this is a great song. If I would've dissed Rock like others diss hip-hop without giving it a real chance.... I would have never discovered the most UNDERRATED artist in rock... JACK WHITE! open mind , close the ignorance

  • He's not underrated. Serious people all over the world rank him near the top. He's unknown to people who like pop music and for good reason.

  • Great cover..

  • This beat, sounds kinda like hip-hoppy to me a bit. That was my first thought when I first heard it. My second thought was... this is fucking killer. Third though... this is better than any hip-hop evar.. what a shitty comparison.

  • i think its sounds pretty old school

  • dude, hip-hop is cool, too. all music is.

  • I sounded mean in that comment. Sorry. I do like some hip-hop; But I just mean because it sounds like rock and hip-hop together, it rises above both genres alone.

  • Music is good if it's good. I like everything from classical to rap... it depends on spirit and emotion for me. Beethoven's 9th sends chills down my spine, while Limp Bizkit makes me want to break stuff. I like both.

  • never knew white stripes did so many captain beefheart covers,

check out 'Dropout Boogie' by The Kills, another Beefheart cover.

  • I love that first photo, all my b-side have that as the album art =]

  • There's some super-awesome White t-shirt shots at about 1:50. The shape is stunning! I mean it.

  • the camel wore a nightie ? lol :P :)awesome song :P

  • I guess the camel did.....sexy camel toe.

  • LOL

  • its great that a mainstream artist notes an obscure artist's influence on him

  • so undeniably badass

  • very cool cover, i need to hear the original

  • Nice side boob at 1:40!

  • yay, looks fine:)

  • Ooh Yeah! ...yummy yummy!

Awesome, just awesome....thank GOD for the White Stripes!

  • i like the piano part it is nice :)

  • kikiki

  • What the fuck? Go suck your nans tits.

  • plasticjesus108; you suck:

    1. You may be stupid enough to noy even know why

    2. You have one of the gayest youtube names I've EVER seen

    3. You have horrible musical tastes; put down whatever shit you're hearing.

    4. Your "not" jokes are worst than Borats attempts at them lol

  • Good points, but that comment would have been better without saying "You have one of the gayest youtube names I've EVER seen." The homophobia's just a bit of a turn-off, dude. You're obviously intelligent, but bigoted remarks make you look less so.

    Viva la Jack White!

  • LOL THIS BLOWS ASSES AWAY LIVE

  • i love this song and i have the video of them playing it in the basement on my i-pod

  • me 2

  • do they sell it on itunes?

  • Don Van Vliet is a genius.

and Jack White is the best thing since Don.

  • yo, im not here to badmouth white, it's a cool cover, but come the fuck on bro!!! there is no real comparison beyond don's influence on white

  • theyr supposed 2 lmfao THEY NEED THIS ALBUM ON ITUNES SO FUCKING BAD!

  • thanks for posting this. i cant find it anywhere else!

  • This song is so fucking awesome.

  • that very first picture they look just like kids.

  • I love the captain and the white stripes

  • The White Stripes are the coolest looking rock band ever. They look awesome....all the time.

  • Captain Beefheart is a musical genuis. What a fantastic song.

  • Absouloutely brilliant :D

  • theres a live version of this its really good its on itunes after blue orchid

  • Oh...wow. I've only heard the live snippets before. I appreciate you sharing this with us.

  • ? i own all the cds up too icky thump is there a new cd or is this a vinal thinf

  • This was released only on vinyl in 2002. It is very, very rare

  • oh yeah... thanks for upload this.

  • Beefheart's original musical EP release contained a couple Beefheart covers. I suspect when he made his most eclectic album Get Behind Me Satan, the top hat, goatee and moustache, and coat was a HEAVY channeling of what he thought made Beefheart just a genius of all times, and that White felt the exact same thing. I'm all for it. Dylan tried to dress and act like a great deal of his folk and blues heroes, so Jack deserves no slap for trying to get into Don Van Vliet's mindset.

  • another great beefheart cover
