Near the end the video focuses on the hands. They're tense while holding the last notes and then they relax. The camera captures this moment while the sound is dissolving. The dissolving sound is mirrored by the hand relaxing. Then the pianist removes his hands from the keys and we have silence and a few seconds to view the empty keys. It gives me a space to feel the music again. Thoughtful and sensitive.
Wonderful -- I've seen most of Varèse's works in live performance, but never Ionisation, to my deep regret, as I just love the piece, so it's great to have a video of it.
WOW, I really like the dryness of the room this performance is taking place. It really gives this piece life and clarity.

The final few seconds are very powerful. Sensitive editing really helps the listeinging.
