@drumrnva the Bible does it all the time. Maybe you should try reading it once in awhile. Obviously we can't fully describe God but we can use visible and tangible objects to help us or others understand a characteristic. Satellite, sword, shield, rock, fire, light, etc. doesn't
I love when people use an analogy of real-world, testable, scientific technology to try to discuss a timeless, spaceless, invisible being. Ridiculous.
@drumrnva Tyler Perry is an open Christian and puts gospel music and Christian ideas in all his plays. This is a common Tyler Perry fact, stay away from Christian playwrights and their works if you don't want to hear what they have to say. He's only done this in every play he's ever made.
@romin707 he played it out to specifically re explain it 3 times so that woman can use each and every one these eplanations to feel and understand. cuz im pretty sure cheryl pepsi riley know what she duin. lol it just takes time to get the message across alot of people. :)
It's scenes like this that make me say, without hesitation, THIS is Tyler Perry's ministry. I've been through that situation, found (and married) the one God had for me - and every day, it's just a blessing. I thank God for that blessing - Every. Single. Day. This is good advice in this video; people just need to let this scene get into their souls.
Every time I watch this particular play, I always get something good out of it - just like this scene. here.

I had so many heart aches and heart breaks. But, I know God has someone out there for me. I understand, you have to go thru something things. And you have to have time to order to fix yourself. And put yourself together, and work on you.. I can't stop crying. Because, I know this is the Lord showing me something.

I like Tyler Perry, but I hate these parts of his plays where he just sort of sits there and preaches. It's not good staging. Everybody is just standing around in character listening to him go on and on. Not to say his advice is bad -- it's good -- it's just not a good way to deliver a message. Use it through the story and let people get it. Not these long soliloquies.
@sblxi I hear what you saying, but sometimes the message gets lost for some people through the story alone. People go to a play expecting to be entertained, and while Tyler does that, he also wants people to walk away from the play with some clear insight. There's all kinds of way to interpret a message, but he wants to make sure people clearly gets what he's saying. Sometimes you need to paint a bold picture to get your point across.
@darock06 True, but he seems to do this with every play. He needs to write better plays instead of just sitting there lecturing someone else in character. It just doesn't fit. But like I said, I like him and he has a good message.
