  • GOOD JOB. I UNDERSTAND THE LOGIC OF IT.

  • Hey guys I am getting a new screen printing channel going..have a look :) cheers

  • I love how i feel like i jjust got a job and he's teaching me the ropes like i NEEEEDD to know or else he'll lose money

He may be the best youtube explainner i've seen

  • ALRIGHT

  • nice work

  • you really shouldn't be touching your screen =\ - the grease from your fingers will make the print go shoddy

  • hi_Ì_fÊël_sØ_lØnèly_tøÐåÿ

  • How do you make the transparency?

  • what kind of table is that? and how much?

  • Comment removed

  • Grate video, but really it could be 4 mins not almost 10. Seriously I am not retarded.

  • @brainnya thumbs up for this guy having a "grate" comment...

  • I'm completely new to this process and this is an awesome video. Thanks.

  • I think you forgot to show to the viewers a little closely the designe that you are printing, as long as you have two positives. Is It necessary to have a different silk for each color??

Should I allow a drying time after printing a series of shirts in the firs color and before start applying the second one????

  • WHAT KIND OF MACHINE IS THIS ONE....

  • what is curing?can you use iron for curing?

  • These are great tutorial videos!

  • i take printmaking and do intaglio, lithography, relief and screen printing styles and this guy just makes me feel so smart. He talks like an idiot, and no, you don't need a lot of pressure to "back flood" as he calls it, the screen. stupid.

  • No one is impressed with your credentials. He is only trying to show the basics to people who don't have a lot of screen printing experience. I have heard of Ryonet from one end of the net to the other. I have NEVER heard of you. Imbecile.

  • He is talking to people with no experience or education, you can't use technical terms or industry lingo as it would not appeal to potential new customers. I feel sorry for know it all's like you, because in the end you know nothing...

  • does it make you feel better about yourself being on youtube and trying to convince ppl who dont give two shits about you that you know more than this guy?

  • very beautiful

  • at 2:09 he sez "mayshur it up!" lol

  • The press he is using is a complete POS.

  • wouldnt the red ink stick to the screen of the black ink? if u dont flash dry it?

  • @WillDee87

He actually answers that question by mentioning that it does not need to be flash cured in between ONLY because these two colours do not touch each other. It sounds like he might have another video that addresses when they do touch and the need for flash drying in between. Have fun!

  • You're really concerned that they use the term "silk screen"? Really? You do realize that almost EVERYONE calls it SILKSCREEN

  • screens now are not made of silk, they're made of a monofilament. screen printing it is. silkscreen no.

  • @agentsmith, Silk Screening is the process, not the materials.

Yes Silk was originally used but nylon is good low cost replacement.

  • hey faggot calm ur tits

  • Can you over lap colors? Like letting one layer dry then adding a second part to it. Say if I want to make a face using black ink. Letting it dry. Then I want to add sunglasses to it using green ink.

  • It be better if you leave the sunglasses part out of the black, and put the sunglasses on a seperate screen with any other green you want

  • When I went into a screen printing place in town they said that that's what they do if there's small parts of a design that's a different colour (So I'd say you can do it) :)

  • 1 more thing...when you back flood, be careful!!!! If you follow these directions to the 't' (a good amount of pressure to back flood), your going to have to constantly be cleaning off the shirt side of your screen because you're essentially pushing the ink trough the screen, therefore it will build up and the edges of the image will lose their crispness....

  • my $.02...@ 8:50...you DO NOT have to flash the colors all the time because the colors are touching....it really depends on the job...I just finished a 4 color job, w/ colors touching and did not flash them.....

  • do i need protection when i cure them from fumes

  • hey I was thinking about making shirts for a living,do I really need a flash cure thing or could I just leave them out in the garage or something to cure?

  • If you print with plastisol ink (most printers do) you can't air dry it. It needs to reach a temp of of 320 degrees.

  • @Ryonet Hey! ryonet i'm a fan of ur ryonet printing co. i wish i could have one of that 4 printing press one station, it doesn't exist here in philippines, Sending one of your product to me 4 free would be a advertisement for your press LOL, we just do manual printing here and even emulsions are far too expensive so i tried experimenting on glue homebased and sensitizer 4 stencil. even light tble is just a homade wood table with glass and bulb. and use a hair blower rather than flash cure.

  • I use water based inks first i semu cure with a heat gun and then use a hand iron for about to 3 minutes. Workes just fine. Ive also hears roumeors that a toumble dryer will cure water based inks. Im gonna try it. Anywais water based inks works on black if you buy them in SUPER COVER. Hope it helps.

  • @GRIPgraff i just use my iron and a paper towel or something like that

  • @GRIPgraff also if you're doing a multi-color job that requires the CMYK usage you have to cure in between colors and you wont want your medium moving on the platen other wise you'll end up with a messy and blurry design

  • @GRIPgraff You can use an oven

  • Check out my videos for explanations of the screen printing process. Questions welcome.

  • how can you print the shadings? is it separated also? I mean separate screen for shadows or something?

  • I would cure it after the first print personally. The wet inks only wont be touching if you have registered it correctly the first time - as most of the people starting out wont have the experience of thousands of prints I would flash cure them at first - I mean if you were that confident why use the reggie marks anyway. Good video though - very well narrated.

  • Hey can you do a tutorial on how to silk screen paintings on Canvases or is that a completely different field? :S

  • It's the same process but not something that we've been able to tackle yet. We're based much more in the textile industry and can't really help you with this. Good luck though and thanks for watching.

  • thank you so much for showing us this. this is such a creative process.

  • Plastisol is the best ink for textile printing!

  • hijo de la gran puta

  • what kind of safety precautions should be taken when printing one or two colors as far as fumes go. looks like your in a office.

  • Honestly I think you just didn't explain it on the comments because you wanted people to buy the video Smooth.

  • Not the case, the entire 101 video is online on youtube right now. No video is going to cover all aspects of screen printing. I cannot cover all the details of screen printing on a comments page on youtube. Sorry about that.

  • Ryan Moore, i been printing for two yearz now with a crude method here in Africa. i was wondering if you can assit me with the 4 color econo press. and Roland SX-15 vinyl cutter.

i really need this help cos printing has been difficult for me!

  • Hi Ryonet..thanks for this grest video. I heared that there are differents (also in using the coulor) between thisrts with dark chlours (black ,navy blue etc.) and white tshirts is this true? Or can I use the same technics and cholours? Thanks for answer :-)

  • Yes your printing style will change somewhat and the number of layers you will need to print will differ depending on t-shirt color. Black shirts typically don't need a black layer but sometimes need a white flash plate. It's too complicated to get into her. I'd suggest getting our new 101 DVD when it comes out early next year. Cheers!

  • thanks

  • what kind of ink? textile paint is compatible too?

  • Plastisol.

  • what kind of emulsion is that?? is it the same with photographic stencil emulsion-wr and photographic stencil emulsion-hd??

  • cool i want to learn the process and put images on shirts paper etc etc

  • i love this video. it inspired me alot. when are you coming to Africa. (NAMIBIA)

  • its way easier to center your positive on the pallet if you just make a center line down the middle of the pallet and then line the registration marks up to the line that way your image is always square,

  • Would four 23X31 screens fit on this press at the same time?

  • I own micro ajs. printers

    but nice video great lesson.

  • 1 pass should be enough if done properly

  • now i know this is a how to video but i was just wondering what companys like nike or boxfresh use to print there t-shirts like what process is it? silk screen? transfers ect ?

  • usually screen printing, on large automatic printing machines.

  • thanks =)

  • tight vid man, thx.

  • whats flash cureing?

  • it drys the ink.

  • what type of adhesive does he use?

  • i have a serious question Ryan, now i know i need a postscript printer and or file to print true halftones, if i download adobe universal postscript file for windows, will that work?> cause i have photoshop and adobe illustrator and in AI in the print dialog box it gives me the option to select post script but it wont let me choose it.
