THIS is what I pay my license fee for! Not for god damn reality television, soap opera's, and programmes about little shits which is on 95% of the fucking time. Damn you BBC, make more stuff like this and maybe we would have a society that isn't full of brain-dead fucking idiots. Even BBC4, which is a channel all about documentaries, shows the most boring stuff about the most eclectic and unimportant subjects. Make more science programmes!
i think the copenhagan interpretation is quite religious. instead of rejecting the conservative view and accepting defeat, you should always strive to gain ever more knowledge of the atom. its like accepting god as an entity that we cannot ever understand so we should just put faith into it and ask no questions
This documentary as well as the BBC documentary on the Cell are the two best documentaries I've ever seen on science. There are a few others I enjoyed but none as much as these. Both documentaries focus on the history and the actual research that was done. Totally fascinating.
If you like this.. you should check out the BBC's two part series called - " Everything" & " Nothing". Pretty sure it's the same guy that presents it.
"There are only two ways of living, one is as if nothing is a miracle. The second is that everything is a miracle. I believe in the latter." --- Albert Einstein
"I used to be a atheist till I thought I was God." --- John Lennon
To be a Atheist, thus claiming absolutely that there is no God. Like Dawkins does, one would have to have absolute ultimate knowledge to make such a claim. Thus, one would be claiming to be God himself.
@jaqzzzz I consider myself to be the same type of atheist Dawkins is. If you actually read his work, you'd know it works like this: If I asked you if you believe in Bigfoot, you'd probably say no. You wouldn't say you won't take a position because you haven't seen everything, even if that's sort of what you mean. Nonexistence is the null hypothesis. Of course you'd accept disproving evidence, but it's not here. That's how most atheists think.

Two obvious things to comment:
1. The first decades of quantum mechanics are absolutely fascinating!
2. BBC makes great documentaries.

Everything and Nothing by the same host is also a great two part series. Very recent as well.

@res2216firestar That statement could have been cut down to "atheists think". Quite simply, because they are allowed to.
