  • Why is it an ending it's a start!

  • @williamwilbur It's a start of a ending. ;)

  • @HammersGamingChannel oh... ok

  • This never fails to give me shivers. Amazing. This is beautiful, just a shame the world we live in isn't so similar, but there are still bits that are

  • This whole soundtrack along with the movie traffic blended together perfectly... And if God doesn't exist then how can someone make beautiful music like this... You guys should check out 'space lion' by yoko kanno and 'illusion' from the cowboy bebop sountrack... Hope you enjoy

  • Check out my cover of this song on the piano!!! I promise you won't be dissapointed!!

  • Reminds me of picking raspberries as a kid during cool summer nights, collecting Pogs and slammers, and burning ants with a fresnel lens. Wouldn't be the same if I tried that now. All of life is just chasing the feeling.

  • @sicklesickle ignorance is bliss, its only when we get older and can understand how discucting the human race is and what we,re capable of doing to each other and the world. Thats why we constantly chase that feeling, its before we could understand that world revolves on greed, hate and suffering

  • a friend of mine showed me this song on the way home from a day at the beach as the sun was setting and my face melted off, everything felt perfect. It made me think of all the good times in my life and so sad at the same time as we drove back towards the demands of a world that had been chugging along same as ever while we had been goofing off

  • a master piece WONDERFUL

  • beautiful, just beautiful

  • Freedom.

  • Am I in heaven?

  • Words cannot describe the purity that is within this song.

There is not one flaw, it literally phases you, and makes you think about nothing but beauty. I can't help but think about a desolate city; the sun reflecting off the deserted roads, buildings sleeping; empty. It's just amazing.

  • It certainly is amazing. You could literally listen to it forever. How many other rock songs can you say that about?

My ambition is to see the northern lights at the same time as listening to this, preferably in Banff.

  • My dad used to love this...it reminds me of him

  • A truely magnificent piece of music.

It went so well with the documentary made about Man going to the moon "for all mankind"

  • This song doesn't make me sad at all.

I just feel like I'm in a different dimension.

  • When this song plays, for 4:22 seconds there is nothing wrong with the world all is well. no anger no credit crunch no curropt goverments just 4:22 seconds of brillance!

  • This always sends shivers down my spine. A truely magnificant piece of music.

  • Love this so much. Saw it first on NSPCC advert, then 28days later. Also its the backing to Frou Frou - "hear me out" song. Just makes me wanna cry.

  • when i play this music i thank god for all the blessings he give me love, happiness compassion, but most of all i dont hate any one,and how beautiful the world, the moon , stars are but most of all how beautiful the human race is with all our faults for what we could be if we loved more and hated less

  • please can you see my reply as terryffyn

  • 28 days later this short great piece was in and also a top gear challenge

  • Yeah, when they drove three supercars to that enormous bridge in france?

  • thats right. a good challenge.

  • Can someone please give me an idea as to the next Brian Eno album to get that is closest in style to Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks!?! I *love* this album - but from things I've heard of other Brian's works - his style does vary greatly from album to album and I can never get a strait answer! :D

  • you might try "Plateaux of Mirror", with Budd. It's quite amazing. It's not terribly "close" to Apollo, but I think it's something you'd like. "The Pearl" is also great (with Harold Budd, as well).

  • Thanks. Any other suggestions from anyone?

  • Thursday Afternoon (my favorite Eno piece) and Ambient 1 are both Eno albums similar to this. Also try out Stars of the Lid; they have a similar sound. Avec Laudenum, The Ballasted Orchestra, The Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid, And Their Refinement of the Decline are all good SotL albums.

  • Thanks!

  • um also check out Aphex twin, selected ambient works 2

  • This song seriously wants to make me cry and laugh.

This song gives a message to all humans that

we will all die, and if we don't worship what God or anything that you believe in, will just disappear. This song makes me think beyond my imagination, and ground I live on.

  • it seems to dispell any thought out of my head listening to it. really love this tune. out of this world, much bigger than anything in th is world..

  • Actually this song would be a perfect track if one were to do a time-lapse video of life from inception to death.

  • I want this song played at my funeral.

  • I wish YouTube would have a Continious Play button...Than I would go to sleep and listen this magnificent tune aaaaaaall night long...and I know it would take me to beautiful places where I have never been....

  • this is my favorite of brian.

it makes me think about the good things of this short life and gives me a very good feeling
