I'm sorry, did I misunderstand? I don't know if anyone else heard that but did he say the Toyota Camry sold four billion cars in North America? That's roughly 9 cars for each person.
You're right. I couldn't care less about my body fat. I weigh 166. I have what I like to call "tendon strength" where I use my bones like levers to lift things. LOL I don't understand what you mean by natural bodybuilder. You mean no drugs and stuff like that. Cause I don't think anyone "naturally" looks like that without trying to.
Sounds like you know exactly what I mean by "man with tits". Well I'm not going to send you a picture of myself with my shirt off to another man so you can forget it. Resemblance of a man? Your pushing B-cups there sir. Anyway, enjoy the car. Its nice and it'll last a long time. You didn't happen to buy the Speed 6 did you? Did you test one?
@hewhohateseverything ..Dude, Im a natural bodybuilder and I dont have to worry about your assesment of me. Carrying over 230 pounds with 8% bodyfat. Just only care what the girls think and I know there is no complaints there. I saw your videos and I can guarantee you weigh no more than 170 and you have a small build overall cause you look very tiny on that bike of yours. Nonetheless, they dont have speed 6 in the bodystyle. Got me the six banger.
I think that many cars these days are totally sexless, but this one for better or worse is definitely a lady's car. Nothin wrong with that. Women can have cool cars too.
@hewhohateseverything . Why is ""this is definitely a lady's car""""? Your perception is off whack. That Madza 6 is totally cool and beats the Mazda 3 hands down. If any car is for you, i think its Miata. You may want to drive it around Laguna.
@JayTsay Says a man with tits. Anyway sure, given a choice between a Mazda 6 and a Mazda 3, the 6 is better, like you said "hands down". What I was saying is in a market where cars are becoming very androgynous, Mazda 6 offers a clever package. Its appealing to men because its well built and strong, but it works for women too because its not "macho". It looks good without trying too hard. Most auto manufacturers don't even consider those things. And look and see what "my kinda car is"
@hewhohateseverything ...What the hell is that supposed to be mean? "Says a man with tits." I find it so amusing when a guy makes a comment like that yet I bet doesnt carrry any resemblance of a man when it comes to vasculartiy, definition and symmetry. Care to bet against that?
I bought an 09 Mazda 6 in August of 2008. I love this car. I was going to buy the V-6 but commute a lot so I chose the four banger. I put 20's on it as welll. The old bodystyles is nice but this new style with the right wheels is beautiful. The ride is comfortable and the handling is awesome. You get so much for the money. Rides rough? Hell no, its even smooth with the 20's! Im really happy with the choice.
id like to strange this guy with his own hands, one thing he got right was the V6 powered engine, a 170hp moving a car of that weight might not make sense, but then again it needs to keep up with other cars in its class which offer all 4cyl engines. Over all, its beautiful, the exterior and those nice dual exhaust built into the bumper look smooth and sporty...maybe a mazdaspeed 6 soon?? id buy it tomorrow!
Plug in's are a not the answer. That's just powering cars with coal produced energy (which most of our power comes from)instead of oil. The elements for the batteries come from the ground in nations just as unfriendly as where our oil does. Changing out problems is all you get! Real change would be hydrogen cars, but not likely anytime soon. Until then, give me dead dinos to burn!
If it doesn't plug do not buy it! Get a used car -- your environmental impact will be much less. Avoid supporting the oil corporations by not buying cars that do not plug, you will see how fast we get many plug ins. In the mean time a good used car can take care of your needs.
Look at it again. It looks very close to the Euro model in appearance! Plus we'll get a roomier interior, and more powerful engines than the Europeans will have. This is what the North American market wants!
To H15A5H1: Well you must think the European version of the Mazda 6 is ugly too since it looks A LOT like the American version. The only real difference that makes the American version look different is the front grille, which I will admit doesn't look as nice as the Euro version. The headlamps are the same shape and size but do look a little different internally. If this is a real problem then I'm sure you can just ask the dealer to get you the Euro grille and headlamps. Problem solved...
To theguy1224: The V6 offers a 6 speed automatic, but what this video doesn't tell you is that there is a "shift mode" to the V6 version that comes with the Grand Touring package. When you use that, it basicly acts like a manual but with an automatic clutch. So if you want the feel of a manual in the V6 you should look into that.
hehe thanks but im a car guy, i know what that means. I driven ALOT of cars in my day. And im talking about a REAL h-pattern tranny. Paddle shifters, "shift mode" etc etc for a more sportier drive doesnt cut it for me. When i drive a car, especially a car like this, i wanna connect with it. That can only be had when using an h-pattern tranny in my opinion.
Cool, I see where you're getting at and repsect that. I personally prefer automatic tranny's for the convenience, especailly in stop and go traffic. With automatic tranny's becoming more advanced and even giving cars slightly better fuel economy over their manual counterparts, it's getting tougher each year to consider a manual unless like you said you want to connect with your car better. I like paddle shifters a lot, I mean if it's good enough for Formula 1 racing it's good enough for me :)
Yeah i do the ocassional stop and go traffic but all in all, automatic is boring to me. I have an 06 altima as my daily driver and i had it a little over a year and im bored out of my mind driving it. I have another toy that i take out on the weekends and nice days when i want to go fast but i feel like i need that fun car for everyday as well. Auto cars are convenient but unless its a ferrari with a sequential gearbox, there is no fun factor in my opinion.
Yeah. For me that fun factor is with the speed, the turns, the G's. Shifting honestly just isn't that fun, though paddle shifters can be fun since it is faster and doesn't require you to let go of the steering wheel. I admit that a manual tranny car with a standard stick shift gets you more involved with your driving and I can see the thrill of it, but for me it's not something I would call fun. More like something to get me to the point where I have fun.
Yeah i see what you're saying. But different strokes for different folks. For the street, nothing beats a h-pattern tranny. Of course if you want record breaking lap times, then a sequential gearbox is the best bet but most cars arent being used for what they are intended for anyway. I mean any normal joe can just step on the gas and brake. It takes real skill, in my opinion, to actually drive and master cars that didnt have all this technology cars have today.
I really wonder what Ryan expects from a four cylinder sedan? A rocket ship?! That new 2.5 liter engine has 14 HP MORE than the present 2.3 liter, and the new 6 is LIGHTER than the current model, so it should move great. The six cylinder of course is fast in that body. That's a no brainer:))
Yeah I test drove a 2.3l with a 5-speed manual and expected sport, but was left with disapointment when I had to rev the piss out of it just to get to 30 mph. I guess the Mazda 6 wasn't the sporty alternative I thought it was (but great value for a small-for-its-class family sedan); I bought a 2008 Accord instead...
Well I have an '07 6i VE with the 2.3L, and automatic transmission, and am happy with the way it moves. It looks to me like you were more of a candidate for the Speed 6, but then again, I guess you found the car to be a bit small for it's class. It is "smallish" but I like it. I don't have a wife or kids so it works for me. To each their own, I guess.
Yeah I think the 2.3l is probably better suited with an automatic. I like the Speed 6 a lot, but the thing is, I also have an 06' BMW 325i, so I have the sport, I just needed a better family car. The Accord is probably one of the least sportiest cars I've driven, but everything in that car performs so effortlessly and in sync. I love the Accord, but I bet if the Mazda 6 was a bit bigger, I would have looked more into an automatic version...

Has anyone ever test drove the 4cyl AND the V6? Is there a significant and noticeable difference in power?

Anyone driven one? I've been reading some people say it rides fairly rough.
