Well,this game originally came out in Japan. Where it was developed on PS2. And CyberConnect2 only tranlates them and makes them appropriate for the english addience.They don't remake them.

No its nothing like rise of a ninja, Master Mode is an RPG mode where u can roam the village but not like in RoaN.The fighting system in Master Mode is pretty sweet but gets old after a while.
